He's the face of fans nowadays, especially knick fans. Can't enjoy the team without them showing up and ruining the day. Just ignorant.
I'm a Knick fan. He damn sure isn't my face. I can't stand him.
Honestly I'm so content with KP that I can actually watch that horrible lottery footage without scowling in disgust. What a terrible, terrible night that was, but maybe it was a blessing in disguise, only time will tell.
You just have to laugh. Bamboozled? lol

agreed. At the time i wanted to throw up because we could have easily had the top pick. However im very happy with porzingis. He may be our most important player right now already
maybe he will grow a pair and admit he was profoundly wrong and should apologize to everyone including phil jackson.

And don't forget, "Hoodwinked"!!!
Dude was on vacation and decided his rant was worthy of disrupting it and getting himself all lathered up for an idiot rant!
What is amazing is for any franchise to achieve greatness there are times when there is no clear cut no. 1 pick, and if the offerings to pick are not clear cut you have to choice.
I applauded KP from the moment because he had a higher ceiling, or "Percieved" one. Given that, and given Phil's tenure it would have been easy to go the safe route for a ready made player or trade the pick.
This would be a starphuch lower ceiling cater to the "NOW" instant gratification crowd. While its a nice thing, it can't allow a team to really contend. As self proclaimed life long fan SAS showed either ignorance or preferred to use the moment for his career and be a voice.
SAS is not alone, in fact we have many here for coaching change and lineup changes instead of remembering the Two rusty vets coming off huge injuries, 9 new players and yoots that on this team and it takes time for the chemistry to sort itself out.
While KP is not the second coming rookie impact of wilt or kareem and not likely the Rookie of the year, he is showing some great stuff!
"Hoodwinked and bamboozled"!!!! Tired of SAS thinking we are that ignorant!
You do realize that this idiot Smith criticized Chargers coach Marty Schottenheimer for
not going for a field goal on third down in a playoff game against the Jets.
Yes, you read that right. Smith was doing his full volume black preacher mode to criticize Shottenheimer for having his kicker kick a field goal on fourth down. Smith's thinking is this:
If you miss a field goal on third down, you get to try it again on fourth down.
Yup, that's what this dope thinks. Miss a field goal on third, you can get another shot on fourth down. I actually saw that live. I saw Smith say that if you miss on third down you get another chance on fourth. He said it on the ESPN Sports Reporters show back in 2005. Look it up. It's 100% true.
P.S.
Smith also said that Phil Jackson wasn't coming to the Knicks because Phil felt strongly disrespected due to the fact that Jim Dolan himself didn't come out to California to talk with him (Jim sent GM Mills). Yup, Smith went black preacher mode on Dolan for that. How could you send an underling? Smith declared that Jackson will not be coming to the Knicks because of that.
SAS = the empty can rattles the loudest

Ummmmmmm…. hold on. I don't know the clip but what SAS could have been arguing is a fairly standard school of thought on short, last possession field goals to win a game.
The argument/strategy isn't if you miss a field goal you get to try again. The argument (again, pretty standard stuff) is if you muff the snap or the hold (see the Giants vs. San Francisco back in the day), the holder or kicker just covers up the ball, takes the loss of yardage and you get to run another play (another FG attempt) on 4th down. As long as the kicker's foot doesn't touch the ball, it is not a change of possession play and is regarded as a standard play.

Don't hold your breath. He's probably praying that KP suffers a season ending injury. Literally praying. Despite his claims that he's such a passionate Knicks fan. He probably had an orgasm when he saw Melo come down on his neck during the Spurs game.

No, no, no. You are giving Smith far too much credit. Smith somewhere along the line took what you pointed out as standard operating procedure and interpreted it that if you MISS the actual kick on third down, you get another shot at fourth. That's what Smith said on "Sports Reporters." Miss the field goal on third, get another chance on fourth. Facts of the game point out why he believed and said that. San Diego
did miss the field goal on fourth which is why Smith said they should have gone for it on third down. You should have seen the faces of the other reporters on the panel when he said that.
It's true. No youtube video of it, but if you google it you'll see it shows up in a lot of Smith articles. I saw it live. My jaw dropped.
I think you guys are devoting way too much time and energy talking about a guy whose favorite show is General Hospital.

I am still not sold on P. He is talented, but I believe Towns and Russel are the better players. For that,I will forever hate Fisher
