Hot Shots, never watched the classics?

GustavBahler @ 11/6/2015 5:06 PM
They got the players back they were missing, Parker, Thanassis, so the Knicks will have their hands full.

Indeed plus it's always tough to beat a quality NBA team twice in a row, so it will be no small task for the Knicks to get their first home victory. Any word if Afflalo is playing tonight? I read that there was some possibility.

Is AA playing tonight?
herkyJerky @ 11/6/2015 6:47 PM
AA will likely make his season debut on Sunday vs the Lakers.
herkyJerky @ 11/6/2015 6:48 PM
I'm sure there's still plenty of room in the locker room for some more antlers. Two more pairs, to be exact.

time for the knicks to beat a good team at full strength. The spurs were too tough so i wasnt upset but the cavs loss bothered me a lot

Ali called it a week ago. Our bigs are going to constantly be in foul trouble and gassed if we keep starting a backcourt of Calderon and Sasha.

Anyone still think all Calderon has to do is hit his shots to be effective?

He can't even do that anymore!

Heh, classic case of confirmation bias.

Here is Begley'd full quote.

There's been some suggestion that Kristaps Porzingis' foul trouble is due in part to Jose Calderon's defensive struggles on the perimeter. The numbers don't bear that out yet. Porzingis' foul rate is 6.9 per 36 minutes with Calderon on the floor and 6.4 per 36 minutes when Calderon is off the court.

.5 per 36 minutes isn't statistically significant. That's .66, or two-thirds of 1 foul over 48 minutes.

If he were hitting shots he wouldn't have the catastrophically negative effect on the team's performance that he is currently. He might be only a small net negative, easier for the team to compensate for. Could translate into winning a game that they would otherwise not.

Not sure this is a big positive for the Knicks, as MCW cannot shoot the ball. He was not effective in the last game and I was happy to see him jack up shots from the outside. Unless Ennis is worse, then cool.

herkyJerky @ 11/6/2015 7:32 PM
Knicks should try and avoid hasty long jumpers tonight.
herkyJerky @ 11/6/2015 7:40 PM
Can't wait to see what Jill's wearing for that halftime NY minute woop woooooooooop!
