As much as I can't stand Jose and think it will help the team tremendously once he is riding the pine. Will we see fish evolve and stabilize his rotation he is so random and I think he's thinking to hard. its very hard for your bench when players don't know there roles. Example a guy like dWill dose not know if he is going to play 10 minutes or 25 minutes ... Galloway has know idea if he's coming in as the sixth man or the 8th... Starters should know there breaks esp Melo, and KP how long they are going to be sitting.. It's kinda like your bench is running around with there heads cut off.
Once Jose is benched as well as Sasha and they both settle into spot min 3rd stringers. Fish needs to stabilize his rotation. Players need to know there roles . If not fish needs to be on the hot seat ... We can't afford losses because of poor coaching .
I agree the rotations have been problematic and our backcourt performances have been abysmal. However, we knew we were going nowhere this year, at best a playoff spot. For the sake of continuity, let's everybody make their mistakes. They will learn from it. Phil Jackson said he would be more present this year. I have faith he will give Fisher a piece of advice on how to manage minutes.
Knicks fan are too prone to fire everybody when there are no results. I understand it's frustrating,(for me too) but we knew it was gonna be a process. Everybody from management to the players seem to be on the same page. Let's them grow together (management, coach and players). The wins later will be even sweeter.

Yea your right...This is still a rebuild but I think the first step is to get grant or Gallo into the starting lineup... Second is solidify the rotation... It's still so early and I know we have to be patient. But with that said its time to get Jose and Sasha out... It's hard for the second unit to constantly dig us out of holes. Esp a second unit as young as ours... Maybe installing Jose into the second unit will light a spark under his butt, he needs it and it's for the greater good of the team...I just hope fish knows this .
Jose is an ongoing problem. His only chance is against other teams benches. At this point Gallo needs to be in the starting lineup. I think he can be ok, but experimenting with Grant would not be a bad idea either. He will get KP and Co. much better looks on his drives imo.
The bigger question to me, is "Who do we replace Calderon with in our Lineup?" I wonder about the guy Denver just cut. We really need to find another PG, Jose is toast at this point and Sasha is not much help.
Not having Affalo might be a hidden blessing in time, but right now it is really costing us.

Yea we could use another pg I'd also like to see how trice dose in the dleague as well. As for fish I'm just worried he's not getting it, I really think Phil needs to take his hand and show him how to properly coach.

I think he has been better this year. But he has played 11 and 12 men the lat two games. I guess you have to integrate Seraphin into the rotation but O'quinn and Rolo need to get their minutes.
To me, it just seems like the one problem he's having is with the way he subs. He has the guys playing well together, and he's made adjustments to get them to pick up the pace from last year. I think he's just trying to be too clever with the subbing and gambling a little too much. And I do get the feeling that with the right adjustments to the backcourt there will be improvements in that area.

Grant and Aflalo first unit...Galloway and Sasha second unit.
I think if Early had any kind of potential as a SG, Fisher and Phil would have explored doing it. To be honest, he seems quick enough, and his shooting can't be any worse than Sasha's at this point.
Just don't know what they are seeing from Early in practice.
I am sorry to tell you this, but fisher is not coach material. He is maybe best suited to be a front office guy

why? why do you think so, and why is it a forgone conclusion at 5 games into the season.
Gallo is playing phenomenally. So is KP. Grant has a role and is getting minute - much more than other rookies that were drafted way ahead of him. And this is the major focus of this year, right? These 3 guys.
DWill started off hot, cooled some, but he looks like he has been put in the right position to succeed long term.
Now, Sasha and Jose have no doubt underperformed, by a LOT. And there have been games that could have been won.... again deep playoff teams.
So what's what's your beef?

He had all last season to show that he belongs as a coach and failed to deliver. This season I was looking to see if he could show a little improvement, but I have yet to see a change. He should have never agreed to have Calderon in the starting five. Many of us oficionados knew from the jump Calderon was garbage and should not have been in the starting rotation

That's it? That's all you got? Jose shouldn't start? A blind fool could have told me that

Yeah I'm not so quick to pull the plug on Fish just yet either, especially for the reasons you mentioned. But the time to experiment with line-ups and gamble with some of his subbing habits is kind of over. He needs to learn from those mistakes right now, before things start getting really hot for him. Because they will get really hot if this continues.
It's easy for any coach when you have a dependable top 6 players. So far that hasn't been the case with this team. Now when we get Afflalo back and in game form and Melo in mid season form, add Jerian to the SL, then we will have a chance for a game in and game out dependable top 6 rotation guys. That makes the rest of the rotation decisions sooooo much easier. Bringing in a Gallo, KOQ, LT N DWill as your 6,7,8 & 9 rotation men.
