Knicks · Set up more plays for KP near the basket (page 1)

That failed last play at the basket the previous game was exactly how we should be running several plays during the game. Hes 7-3. Set some picks and get him some shots AT THE BASKET. Play inside out. The BAD overall Knick offense will catch up with us.

here we go again ...

maybe send the big guy down to the d-league so he can get more shots near the basket?

I am sure that the knicks brass has no interest in getting him baskets near the basket. They would rather him take 30 footers.

I agree.

I think they're still trying to figure out the best way to use him, but his most inspiring move this season was that Duncan/Kareem-like hook over Kevin Love in the low post.

I'd like to see at least one good post up per quarter for KP.

I like that they are not breaking the flow of the offense to establish him, but they also can take more advantage of his size.

Again, it's very early, so I think they'll figure some of this out as they go.

I would hammer other teams with picks and screens specifically to get kp point blank shots.our offense should run much better than it does we are winning with defense and carmelo

I liked that today Fisher went with KP at the 5 and Melo at the 4 for extended stretches. That's an interesting look and a possible way forward.

Fish should give KP a highlight reel of Pau Gasol in the post for breakfast every morning:

The knicks needed to guard stretch 4's and 5's and lopez is not that guy. If teams use stretch 5's then KP is a strong option at 5. If not then a front line of Melo/Lopez/Kp is the way to go.

would love to see more plays run for KP period. He seems like he just gets his in the flow. He is a great shooter from 15 and in. The triangle is supposed to reward that. KP needs to work with Hakeem next summer to get his footwork cleaner. His low post is not NBA ready.
Nalod @ 11/16/2015 10:31 AM
Nobody but Hakeem can teach him?

Teams are adjusting to him which is to be expected. He is taking shots but they are falling the last two games. He was busy getting schooled by Davis yesterday.
Knicks won, so its all good!!!!
