MIAMI — The readers agree with Kristaps Porzingis. Keep it short and simple.

A Daily News poll sought to determine the answer to the big question that will follow Porzingis for the rest of his career: What is the best nickname?

The resounding winner was the name Porzingis preferred all along, K.P., which captured 36 percent of the vote.

Godzingis was second with 16 percent and Zingis Khan finished third with 10 percent of the more than 1,800 votes cast by Daily News readers.

"K.P.'s fine, man," Porzingis said Monday when told the results. "I love it."

Porzingis had already rejected the natural nickname Zinger because, simply, he doesn't like it. His teammates call him either Kris, Rook, or K.P.

Phil Jackson was one of the first to use “K.P.”

"natural nickname Zinger" — natural because it was what a sportswriter was trying to make happen? Ha

The man with the midas touch... AND get this, the character Auric Goldfinger, IS LATVIAN

Hey, that's not true at all. I am a HUGE Bond fan. I know Bond. Goldfinger is a Brit...but he doesn't sound like it. That's the line from the film.

From Wikipedia...the authoritative source for all knowledge and facts:
In the novel, Auric Goldfinger is a 42-year-old expatriate from Riga, Latvia, who emigrated in 1937 at the age of 20. He is 5 feet (152 cm) tall, has blue eyes, red hair, and a passion for his tan.

Goldfinger's name was borrowed from Ian Fleming's neighbour in his Hampstead home, architect Ernő Goldfinger, and his character bears some resemblance.[4] Ernő Goldfinger consulted his lawyers when the book was published, prompting Fleming to suggest renaming the character "Goldprick", but Goldfinger eventually settled out of court in return for his legal costs, six copies of the novel, and an agreement that the character's first name 'Auric' would always be used. Goldfinger is typically a German-Jewish name, and the protagonists of the novel know this, but neither Bond nor Mr. Du Pont think Goldfinger is Jewish. Instead, Bond thinks the red-haired, blue-eyed man to be a Balt, being proved correct when Goldfinger is revealed to be an expatriate Latvian.[5]

That's the book Goldfinger. Only people who can't get dates read books.

Goldfinger is from a movie and he was British. A member of Stoke Poges Golf Club. No Latvian is going to be allowed to be a member of that Club. Not even Porzingis.

I think Wiki said they had to dub Goldfinger's voice because the actor did not speak English well enough.

Let's get real here, FW.

He hates anything with zingis or zinger. KP or KP6 seem to fit for him
newyorker4ever @ 11/27/2015 7:37 PM
It's K-Swish or KP for me.

Is a cute name, have to admit.

That play was all about the passing though- hard to give KP6 too much credit. Ball did not touch the floor once, even though only one Knick on the court was not directly involved, which is pretty amazing considering that the Knicks started with the ball directly under the basket.

Downhill after that play, though.

ha ha you're exactly right. the miami timeout took place after this play and that was when fisher brought afflalo back in and the knicks started to unravel.
