Knicks · Friday night Thunder!! (page 21)

When we sucked though how many of these did we have against good teams..go down big then a futile attempt at end to come back. Glad we on the other end.
Malcolm @ 11/20/2015 10:43 PM
BTW: looks like .500 is not going to get a team into the playoffs in EC this year (there were 3 last year). right now, the 9th, 10, and 11th teams (including knicks) are OVER .500 . . .
Clean @ 11/20/2015 10:48 PM
I might be complaining a lot about some of the mess ups but I am actually pretty happy that we are winning. I just would like us to have some clean wins. These guys are trying to give me a heart attack.
crzymdups @ 11/20/2015 10:53 PM
Knicks lost first two games with Afflalo back, but have won last three. 3-2 with AAA in the SL.

Also, this is interesting to me:

Are we sure Scottie Brooks was that bad a coach?

They were missing Durant...of course.

They were missing Durant a lot the second half of last season. I thought they looked a lot more crisp then - I saw a lot of those games. Kanter was used a lot more effectively. I dunno, couldn't really tell what Donovan's game plan was tonight.

herkyJerky @ 11/20/2015 11:03 PM
How the hell has Washington only played 9 games so far?
Can we make it 4 in a row against the Rockettes tomorrow night?

It doesn't matter what Donovan's plan was, because our defense was LOCKDOWN!

Herring has wild stats. It is interesting.

Knicks are a bonafide defensive team plain and simple. Tonight was just straight up blue collar grind it out defensive win while Melo did the heavy lifting on offense. We are a big physical team and we play a chippy brand of ball. Loving this squad more and more with each game.
nixluva @ 11/20/2015 11:09 PM
Knicks really needed to stop giving the ball to RoLo. He wasn't catching it cleanly and he was turning it over or messing up the plays. Closing games is gonna be hard if they don't make some changes to how they run late game offense.

Sucks that he is the second highest paid player on the team and he can't catch the damn ball.

It's not remotely his role on this team.

Yep. Agreed - also feels like part of the reason Fish plays a deep bench is to keep guys fresh to give full defensive effort.

It's also largely uncharacteristic of him. He usually has pretty good hands when it comes to catching and holding. He was off with that tonight.

That really was driving me crazy. It should've been clear at one point that he was having problems with that, especially in the 4th. You HAVE to recognize that kind of thing when you're on the floor.

oh he has point blank stated that. He's said we demand these guys play at a ridiculous pace, especially on defense, so Im going to sub quite a bit. He said that after the last win vs. Cha

Then Wally on the post game praised KP for simply figuring out the obvious, if you want to be on the floor for the KNicks you better board and you better D.

People are underestimating how hard this team works on D! This isn't an accident that they are playing tougher D this year. It's sometimes ugly on offense but the defense has been there most every night.

From a thunder blog,
. Billy Donovan has preached movement and I see a lot of it happening on the offensive end, but I have still yet to see any real difference in the Thunder offense.
