Sometimes if you want to talk about the Knicks it just ends up there. But I agree. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about KP. The kid is ridiculous. Only 20 years old. Also, the team is all high character guys.

Thing I love about KP is his desire to be great!!! He is such a fast learner and really he just LISTENS! Coach tells him to do something and he does it. I'm so used to stubborn NBA players that it's a bit shocking to see a kid actually try to do what he's being told.

I actually think it's great seeing KP and Melo sharing the load. They have each other's back so far this year and that's a HUGE factor in this team's wins.

porzingis mental makeup is off the charts

Mental makeup is so underrated IMO! Some people scoff at it in regards to guys with high character and intelligence but it's huge. The kid just gets it. After having a bunch of physically talented players who seemed not to appreciate the things that lead to winning consistently, it's nice to see a young player that gets it and not just KP but most of our young players.

KP is different cuz usually super talented players don't feel they have to do the little things or really work on the important basics. KP seems to be going all in on the basics and it's helping this team win games.

Last four games:

Win vs the Pelicans - Melo 29pts 13rebs

Win vs the Hornets - KP 29pts 11rebs

Win vs the Thunder - Melo 25pts 5reb

Win vs the Rockets - KP 24pts 14reb 7blks

WE HAVE TWO STARS.

No need to pick one or the other - it's wonderful to have two stars.

Fisher and the rest of the team are playing great, too. Afflalo adds a new dimension on offense. I like this team a whole heck of a lot.

Yeah, it's strange to me that some people are trying to make this a one or the other situation. KP brings rebounds and excellent defense on his low scoring nights. Melo rebounds, can facilitate a little, and makes the gameplan for defending KP alot more complicated. They compliment eachother so much. We definitely got lucky this draft regardless of what I or some thought before the season started. We have two stars now. The team is a single piece away from being able to do something in the east in my opinion, the rest is on Fisher to figure out.

Gallo has been huge but as Jerian develops he could really take things higher. Jerian is the player I'm really looking at as he develops over the rest of this season and next. His ability to get into the lane is huge but he still has a ways to go in his decision making and improving his shooting. I think it'll come in time.

yeah. Pardon my french but he has BIG BALLS. On draft night he vowed to turn the boos into cheers and he has done that in 14 games. I said before that already he is our best player which is incredible

You're not riding Melo. He doesn't post here.

You're riding your fellow Knicks fans, and you know it.

Which is fine, start your own thread and ride your fellow Knicks fans about Melo all you like. I for one would support your right to do so.

But what I and others are suggesting is you and others have some perspective to not to pre meditatively turn the focus of postgame threads about the Knicks 4th victory in a row/2nd road win in a row to your acknowledged pet topic.

If you don't like that that I post about him often (and fairly IMHO) then you can put me on ignore. No need for you to come here and police the board. You said your piece now move on.

Unless I'm mistaken this forum is about about the Knicks and about community. If Melo can and should be fairly "ridden" about a shortcoming of his… well then saddle up mreinman

I post about every single player but your freakin obsession for melo only catches posts about melo.

again, move on or ignore ... no need to weigh in on every thread to tell me how you feel ... its obsessive.

i really appreciate the middle of the road posters who are not extreme on either side. Both extremes are really annoying but one extreme is where most of the extremist reside ... so be it. I still appreciate the independants.

All I know is we have a TEAM and it's looking like 2 legit big time players leading the way!!! I never expected KP to have this kind of impact so soon. My sons have no recollection of the 90's so I'm hoping we can see a great decade or more with KP. It would be awesome. For right now I'm just enjoying it with my boys.

So now that he has (temporarily) softened his stance on melo he's ok? Guess what ... he calls is the way he sees it. Melo has played better this year especially on defense. If melo regresses, he will be all over him and then DK of course will no longer be considered pro knicks. Right?

DK can get way too extreme for me (though I like his content) and so can all the minions of defenders who I can't even tell apart. They all say the exact same things ... boring.

More accurately pro-came to terms Melo is signed for 4 years and has a no trade clause and isn't going anywhere and no poster on a message board and derailing every thread is going to change that.

folks here cant get that. They just arent capable. Everything with these guys is a dick measing contest. I mean start a thread talking about having 2 impact players and the Melo police come out in force to ensure *that* doesnt get too much credit. The you get post after post telling everyone how fair they are and give credit where credit is due. Imagine having your perception so out of whack because of what? Hate? An agenda? yea this... or you can post stupid trades, knock Knick fans at every chance for enjoying the positives this player brings, ensure at ALL times he's not getting to much credit, be passive aggressive in your praise when he's winning games and ensure you promote every other guy as much as possible. Hemorrhoids?

No agendas here, all Knicks fans just want the Knicks succeed.

The formula has been put in place already for how the Knicks can win this season and beyond. KP #1 option but within the flow of the attack, and Melo in the Robin role dishing, playing D, diving for loose balls, and (try to) score efficiently within 10-12 shot attempts.

This thread is sad. I couldn't possibly read all 10 pages, but you're not going anywhere 1 guy. It's nice to know if somebody has a bad night we can still win these days. It's refreshing that if Melo doesn't have 30+ and shoot 60% we can still win. That was getting pretty ridiculous.

It's refreshing that if Melo doesn't have 30+ and shoot 60% we can still win. That was getting pretty ridiculous.

Thank God! Melo scoring 30+ is a losing formula unless he's Curry or Lebron and also dishes for 10 assists. Everyone just stares into the abyss or checks their twitter feed while out on the court on offense, when Melo does his thang.

Better to have team balance and ball movement. Have Melo score 15 or 16, KP for 20+, Afflalo for 15 or 16, Galloway for like 12-13, and so forth and so forth. That's the recipe for success.
