Knicks · First Post. Noticed a lot of dislike for Melo (page 3)

Go Melo Go! You're the best thing to happen to the Knicks.
the history of the knicks since dolan took over has been one abomination after another with only a couple of patches of decent basketball. to my way of thinking the entire organization but especially its main protagonists are guilty until proven innocent. fifteen years of dolan will do that to even the most long-standing fans.
but hiring jackson was the best "decision" dolan ever made as the owner of the knicks. last year was a throwaway year and i had no real vested interest, just like the first two years of walsh and d'antoni. dolan's respect for jackson outweighs his fragile ego, weak mind, and low character.

The problem is that they let time run off the clock after the Zeller make that shouldn't have. If the clock was managed correctly then he would have got the shot off in time.

Thought he came through last night scoring 7 out of last 9 points in spite of having a off game and in foul trouble. I guess ita normal, as most press and fans favor certain players on a team. And even secretely root for others to fail, due to a lost argument or annoying obsessed fan, Although, as a coach, something i never understood. Even saw it on Rockets site with Harden and other players. Curious to see how this dynamic of Melo vs KP, created among Knick fans, will play out. Hopefully most can be excited about having several good pieces on this team once again. As well as several obvious distinctions with this year's squad. Knicks, so far, have a much beter team chemistry. They have players that seem to be happy with their roles. Both very important ingredients for winning. A young player who is highly skilled and physically gifted and still learning. A perennial All Star who seems to be dedicated to defense and all around team play in spite of having a scoring mentality instilled in him since college. Although clearly not fully revovered from knee surgery. Several role players that are getting more confident with each game. Anyway, looking forward to next game and think it is again an exciting team to watch.
Welcome aboard Hofstra!
Melo is getting a lot of praise this year for begining to buy into team ball. Even from people who've been very critical of his time here whether it was the initial trade, how tlbe refused to buy into team ball and got Dantoni fired, to how his camp or enterprise treated Lin when Lin was the talk of the nation, to how he handedled his free agency etc
In the end we are all Knick fans and just want to win again and we are headed in the right direction finally. Nothing to be upset about. And you joined us at a the right time if you are not a fan of the critique maxed out players receive in New York when they don't win. That goes for all New York teams. You are in the right place. Arguments do get a little heated from time to time but that is because we are very passionate about our team. Some of us been this way for decades. Of course there are always a few posters who get out of hand same as in does in the workplace or anywhere in life and when they cross the line they are disciplined. I wish life was all sunshine and rainbows but it's not. It may be for some and I envy their lives but that's the exception not the norm. Anyway welcome again buddy

In any case Hofstra... welcome to Ultimate Knicks (with grump Melo undertones
)
Stick around. Dont worry about the anti-Melo crowd. You will identify them and their ways quickly. I suggest have fun with it. Its a good site with a lot of good posters who have been around a long time. You make some good points and I look forward to hearing more of your musings.
Welcome
