Heat are out to crush him like they did with Lin...
“Pay attention to him — that’s really it,’’ Bosh said. “He deserves the attention. Most from what I see on the film is guys not paying attention to him. He can play basketball. I don’t know why. Just challenge him. He’ll hit tough shots, but we can’t allow him to get easy buckets. He’s really good at the elbow area. I see a lot of people fall asleep on the elbow area and it allows him to get catch-and-shoots. We got to pay close attention to him.
“He’s a rookie,’’ Wade said of why Porzingis is open a lot. “It takes a little time for a team and individuals to get on him. Right now Melo gets a lot of it, we have to plan for [Arron] Afflalo, guys who have been in this league. Maybe he’s been an afterthought. But he won’t be for long. No doubt about it. He’s really making waves around the league. It’s not just ESPN highlights. He’s putting up big numbers, playing big. He’s young, takes time for someone to plan for a rookie.’’

It should be interesting to see how Porzingis responds to this- Heat have a formidable defense, and a front line of Whiteside and Bosh, plus Deng and Winslow (who will be extra motivated due to us not picking him) to shut down Melo. Wouldn't be surprised if Tragic wakes from slumber.
Man this game will be tough- what they did to Lin during Insanity was brutal, lets hope Porzingis fights back!
YIKES....I fear the Whiteside.

Besides Andre Drummond, no one else is as an intimidating a defensive presence in the league.
That said it'll be a good learning game for KP, and the Knicks have a whole boat load of momentum coming in.
The DRIVE for 5!!!
Bosh will be a tough matchup for KP. Maybe tough is not the right word but Bosh is capable of defending out to 3 and bringing it on the offensive end.
good measuring stick game. Knicks always seem to fight. I havent seen them come out flat once in 14 games. Really looking forward to this. I suspect Melo has a big game. Lots of interesting matchups. Heat are pretty good.
Speaking of Miami Heat, i see Amare is still as clueless as ever. He said him not playing at all is "all part of the plan", saying the team has a plan to keep everyone fresh for playoffs and see the big picture. Well, the rotation is currently 3 big men. Typically if you are trying to keep everyone fresh, you expand the rotation to keep minutes down. The Heat aren't doing that. Amare just isn't a rotation player, and he is trying to justify it. Still living in his own world, like last year when he said he was still in his prime. He has lost it, both mentally and physically.
Can't wait to see bosh get owned by Porzilla.. I still think bosh is a overrated star that just hits open jumpers. Porzingis should be able to get his vs bosh who is pretty slow and a lot shorter then KP...
Also can't wait to see KP and Rolo Block the shit outta wade and bosh

will be interesting. Im not a Bosh fan, but remember a few things. He's pretty good. He's always EXCELLENT early in the season before he starts breaking down. I suspect this is a very tough matchup for KP.
Im mostly curious to see a whole game of Whiteside and how/when/what needle did he stick in his ass that turned him into Alonzo Mourning over night
Our bench has been quiet the past few games- we need them to step up to win
and Deng always plays Melo tough
Wouldnt be surprised if they double or even triple team Porzingis to see if he can be rattled. Its important for KP not to force the issue, find the open man, and wait for good looks at the rim.
The KP learning tour continues.
You get beat down...but you learn and then return.
Aldridge, Love, Bosh, Davis, Ibaka...nice mix of player styles to go up against, study, and learn from.
Best thing that can happen to him, IMO.
Heat look like a good team, but their schedule hasn't been that hard. They lost to Indy, Atlanta and Cleveland and the toughest teams thay played and beat are Toronto and Houston...same as us.
From what I've seen so far, our intensity/depth wears other teams down.
Heat will be a tough matchup. Count on them trying to physically intimidate KP, both Whiteside and Bosh, test the officials to see what they can get away with. Also I expect them to run some doubles and aggressively go for steals as soon as KP puts it on the floor, when his back is to the basket. He is still very methodical (slow) in these situations at times. Watch for a wade to do this repeatedly if in position to take a swipe at the ball. Hopefully Melo can have a big game to draw attention and open up the game for all the knicks.
i want the refs to call a tight game. the heat franchise has a dirty play streak that's pretty wide. i'd to see The New Deal hammer them in his own particular way.
I think that they are the ones who will be physically intimidated. Melo, Gallo, Rolo, Afflalo, Seraphin, LT, Oquinn, even DWill are all very strong dudes!
My prediction for the Heat tonight is P A I N !
If we win the game tonight, then I think there is no doubt this team is for real. The Heat sense the rise of the Knicks and they are going to bring it to put us down before we become a problem. If we can win tonight, it just confirms that this team is for real. We still have a long way to go before we are a real contender for the title, but just being a legitimate playoff team after the year we had last year, is something. This should be a good game tonight.
Biggest test yet for the Knicks and KP. Heat will be gunning to end KP's run. Fisher will be tested by Spoelstra's defensive pressure.
Will need a total team effort. Could you see a Seraphin or a Lance Thomas or a Lou Amundson being the unsung hero if they're able to pull a win out tonight in Miami.
I really think this is a good match up for KP bosh is very skinny and is a good 5 inches shorter then KP... Actually bosh is pretty slow on his feet so I think KP can get him into quick foul trouble... Because bosh has slow feet I see KP grabbing a lot of boards tonight beating bosh from the outside
One more thing about Miami is they've had one of the easier schedules in the early going which has contributed to there fast start...
