40 games averages will be telling, 4 games are not.
To get to playoffs team need more that him and Melo play great.
So far so good, but I would wait until ASB to gauge team performance.
This is new group and needs time to come together.

nobody knows what the future holds but the talent, skill set, physical attributes, work ethic, personality.. its all there. The kid is the whole package.
I am hoping those are his yearly numbers by year 3. Those are allstar numbers, especially considering overall impact.
Consistency is the key. He won't get that this year, his body and stamina won't allow him to.
The skill and talent is there, he just needs to grow old basically. Mature and fill out his frame.
Then he can BEAST on the league for years to come.
From what i've seen KP has been doing this pretty easily in a way. It's not like he's been getting beat up and killing himself to get these numbers. He's been just letting the game come to him on Offense and using smart play on D. I really am surprised at how he's been able to compete with the best bigs so far this year. He hasn't really looked outclassed. Sure he's gotten beat by the top guys but who doesn't? KP has also done his own damage as well.
My take on KP is that he is getting these numbers by just letting the game come to him. He is not forcing anything. Imagine when he becomes a focal point of the offense. KP6 can really be that scary good.
Last 7 games:
33 mins
17.3 pts (48% and 44%)
84% FT
10.7 rebs
3.1 blks
What a primitive ballgame nba is.

I dont think KP is a focal type player. But he can be. I just dont see it when playing next to melo. And if this is his nba rookie development year.....then he will always be that guy that looks like he has another gear. But if he can average 20&10......thats a huge plus. Especially since hes not an iso player and actually plays defense. Free agents would love to play with him.

Last 5 games: 17 PPG, 12 RPG, 4 Blocks/game. Granted, we went 1-4 in those 5 games but he's still looking great.
Last 5 games: 19.2 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 2 Blocks/game on 61% shooting, 58% form three, 100% FT.

Yeah I noticed that too, though obviously the scoring is awesome

I think the rebounding is probably due to Robin Lopez playing fewer minutes. But the 2rebs against dallas really brings the average down. If you take out the 2reb game, he average 10rpg in the 4 games before that.

Figures, you'd focus on the negative above all else. Dude's only 20 and outperforming vets already.

So even that went over your head, eh?

Eh, What? Weren't you trying to be cute, and nitpick one aspect of his game that dropped somewhat, even though the whole was flourishing?

No, I was ironically illustrating how ridiculously awesome KP is. "Grumpy me"… get it? Have to be comically negative in order to find a negative…
No? Missed that.
