Knicks · I am new here (page 1)

Been lurking for a while and finally joined

First off, I'm very impressed with the knowledge and enthusiasm of many posters

I've been a serious Knick fan for over 30 years (definition of masochist?)

Thrilled with KP and intrigued by a number of other additions to the team, but most excited by their energy and effort. While not a Melo-lover by any means, I'm enthused by some of his changes too, though they've been far from consistent.

Trying to keep an open mind about Fisher. AT the moment I think he's in over his head, but I'm hoping that he's growing into the role. And to be honest, I would probably have been more disappointed if Phil just went with a retread. Fisher certainly has the team playing hard, and the games start out well enough, so he deserves credit for that. But his in-game adjustments and use of second unit is baffling. I also get frustrated about his reaction every time Phil's name comes up. He's bordeline insecure. Right now, he could probably benefit from some tutoring and/or brainstorming with Phil

Earlier in the year and in the pre-season, the second unit had a high-energy identity. I think that was a very good fit for DWill, Grant, and even KOQ. They ran hard, played good D. If the other team kept their starters in they were going to need to run some sprints to keep up with our second unit. Even if we didn't score it contributed to the team success by wearing down the opponent. Now we don't really have a second "unit" it's just seemingly mindless substitutions with no identity and a drop off in talent.

Anyway, really enjoying the forum and wanted to say thanks for creating it!

Perhaps his "handle" is celebrating the great writer of classic detective novels, Raymond Chandler, and not TC?
