Knicks · Our Big 3 (page 1)
Our second unit too appears to have the formation of a medium 3. Grant, Galloway, and Williams have excellent ESP amongst themselves, and should be nurtured. Our coaching staff need to recognize that, and continue to develop this trio; because their success can help carry this team very far this season and for years to come. Lance has already proven to be a very good contributor; thus, we now have to find who amongst KO and Seraphin can be the consistent productive player to help put the final touch to that rotation.
Side note: I have been very hard on Fisher since last year; but I must say that he did a decent job with the rotation last night. He ensured that one of the starters was always on the floor; thAt is progress.

I agree. Alphaphaalo has largely gone without much fan fair. I thought last nite his efforts was very much why we pulled away. You can't leave this guy alone.

Always liked what I saw of Seraphan in Washington, he can be a black hole but has the body and skillset to be more than what he has been. Thomas suddenly looks like a fluid and confident player on O and you know his D is there. Appreciate Galloway work ethic but he's a mechanical role player imo and a his FA price at yr end may not make him a keeper.
I too like Seraphin, but I think KO is the better baller out of the two. He is a better passer, post player, and defender then Seraphin. I saw at least three possessions during the game when SERAPHIN was fed the ball; despite the fact that he did not have the space necessary to operate, instead of finding the open man for a better shot, he elected to take contested shots which resulted on several misses and a fastbreak at the other end of the court.
I knew KO would clash with Fisher, because he is a vocal dude. Fisher's rotation has been so bad, his actions have affected all of our players; except for Galloway.
Was unaware that his post-up game was so good.
A little note: Aflalo moves well without the ball, and has benefited from the ball movement when the team is in more of a Triangle mode, BUT Fisher has also give AA the freedom to exploit a good size match-up and do his thing in the post.
Some folks around here just might have to give Fisher a pat on the back at some point.

His ability to work in the paint, as well as, his midrange jumper, have made us a better offensive club. On defense, he is so good, he helped mask Calderon inefficiencies. I love KP, but I believe AFFLALO is the best addition we've added to this team in a long time

I for one am more then willing to show love to Fisher if he is deserving; I am still not satisfied with his rotation. I need to see a lot more of what he did last night to come around on this dude. The first 19 games were reminiscent to what he showed during the 17 wins season; the only difference is that last year our team was loaded with low IQ players.

Interesting tidbit about Oquinn and Fischer. Oquinn looked great in preseason, so good that there was much mention by fans of him starting. He's a tough competitor with some kills. KP unexpected emergence really took mins from some but all of a sudden O is out of rotation and looking lost with a flat J and some bad decisions in garbage time. As I said, I like Srephan's skills yet that doesnt mean that Oquinn should be forgotten and that is what has happened. Kid came home to play and it must be discouraging .Last night, Oquinn left bench and came over to to leisurely pedal on bike in tunnel while chatting to fans. Dont know if he is injured but if he is not then I dont understand dnp in a blow out

Agree. Fisher has some splaining to do:::)))). I predict that KO will once again be a force once given the opportunity. By opportunity I am not advocating for just 10 minutes of play; that dude at least 15 minutes to be a strong contributor. I pray that he uses the DNPs as a motivator.

I was excited when AA signed with us at a fair price and didnt understand the nays or overstated reservations. Guy is a professional on both sides of the ball despite some slippage. He wanted to be here and had played with Melo before. Didnt like the option to opt for him or Williams because its one sided but he can play and his mere presence on court clearly enhances the play of others

KO is too slow for todays PFs....
KO is too small for todays Centers....
Seraphin is a better fit as a backup center....
DWill is a better fit as a backup forward....
KP is now over 30 plus minutes....
Thomas brings more lateral quickness and soaks up forward minutes.....
There is no room for KO.....And he doesn't have a defined skill set. This is not the 90's where the league is full of Oakley type forwards. Todays forwards have guard like abilities that can stretch the floor.
Sorry KO, but I don't see his role increasing, unless there's an injury.

KO is not a PF; he is a center. He is quick and strong enough to play that position and can play it very well. The problem is the way our coach has chosen to use him. There are many combinations we can use to obtain maximum value out of this dude: a front court of Williams, Lance, and KO has proven to be very good when used for a long period of time; specifically, when he is asked to operate strictly on the low block as a facilitator. He sees the floor and passes the ball with gosto
I think a combination of Mayo, Green, Nene could be had boosting the deoth and quality of role player.

Sullinger is an intriguing player as well as he has plenty off different skills. He might be had at a good price and Boston might not be in love with him. Sullinger is gonna get paid big time. He has turned into a very good player.

Noah is The only player out Of that bunch I would touch. We need to find a pure backup for Afflalo; a true 6'6"+ slashing guard that can defend and shoot the rock. We further need to find a PG, because what we have is not sufficient. Calderon has played well in spurts, there are times when he doesn't exist at all. We already have Grant, so another PG WILL SUFFICE

he defends but no steals at all (I can live with that).
You really can't be part of a big 3 if you are a starting guard and avg 1.8 assists a game and 1.7 FTA's unless perhaps you shoot like steph curry.

Its not nessesarily about the players named. But more so how we should look for a bunch of high IQ vets who may be cost effective to really turn this into a well oiled machine. Just like we did with Affalo this offseason.
