What's the line on his personality and IQ (?)
He's 6'4" and 25 years old and has a current PER of 19.5.
He's no longer starting in New Orleans . . . recovering from injury . . . and the team is surprisingly bad this year. So maybe there's not a lot of commitment to him there.
He's making $11 million for each of next 2 years. That would be acceptable for what he brings, I would think.
But what can Knicks offer to get him (?)
Only hope might be that the injury makes him a risk and that New Orleans would like to get out from underneath that.
But again: what can Knick offer (?)
I think you would have to send them Gallo or Grant in some kind of package with Jose. Not sure if that would be smart or not. Last year Shved was just a part of a move to help Pablo get to a contender and the Knicks get picks but he turned out to be a really good fit.
I love the idea of Jrue Holiday here. I like his game a lot. He's had a hard time staying healthy though.
But you get the sense that Pelicans team has to majorly restructure at some point soon.
Jrue Holliday????? I don't know about him. Can he pass the ball to the open men or is he a scoring guard ??
Y'all still don't want Rondo???? He is the only dude who can transform this team into a contender by next season.
The more I study Rondo's game is the more I see how important he can be in the triangle. He is not an over dribbler; he is methodical and cerebral as a passer. He can pick his spot at the top of the triangle to distribute the ball in areas that Calderon is overly inefficient. Calderon often holds the ball mainly because he is afraid to turn it over, whereas rondo is unafraid of placing a pinpoint pass to an open shooter for a positive conversion. Defensively we know he is a pest; and he has always been one of the best rebounders in the league at his position. In Rondo I trust
rondo loves karl and boogie...why would he come to the knicks?
Rondo might leave the Kings because the Kings might trade Boogie and blow it all up.
But I don't see Rondo fitting here - besides he's gonna want close to the max next season. He wants more money.
I think Mike Conley would be a much better fit here. And I think he might consider leaving the Grizz - they're only 2 games better than us in W-L. With ZBO 34 yrs old, the Grizz have some major thinking to do.

That's the big question. I don't know. It seems high to me, but will Phil look at Conley as a sort of final piece with Year 2 KP, Melo, Rolo, Afflalo.
Cap will be going to $103M or so... but $20M is still a lot.

I like Jrue...level headed Andre Miller type...doesn't do anything fantastic, but does ALL things good...including defense.

the problem with Jrue is that he know longer has good wheels (as the pelicans are finding out). philly traded damaged goods and the pels were victims. sure hes ok but hes now injury prone and a shell of himself
if im the knicks, id focus on trying to pry conley away from memphis. unfortunately, money will talk the most and hell ask for at least 20 mill

Rondo is who i want. If he can keep his head straight i'd love to have him and what he brings on the court and Melo wants him to. Who knows if Melo still wants him and if phil talks to melo at all about who he'd like to play with then Phil may have had melo already get in contact with rondo to see if he's interested. I guess we'll know that if Phil trades for a legit point guard at the trade deadline this year then Phil most likely isn't interested in Rondo.

Bingo...As much as some here don't like Rondo, he will be THE best available FA out there next season. I hope we put aside the TRIANGLE and offer this dude a contract.

Doesnt even matter what system we play, RONDO is so crafty at finding seams to pass the ball, which is absolutely essential in the triangle

great shrinks in the city

Precisely.....what folks here can't seem to understand about Rondo is that he is not a ballhawger. The dude does not dominate possessions like CP or other pure PGs. He is a PG that can fit in any system as long as you are restricting his ability to improvise

Sac has a talented young team and is well coached. Not sure what the problems are.
I know one of them is NOT Rondo. How do I know?
So far the team is 13-20. Last I saw that's worse than our record.
Its comical that some of you would say that Phil and his bling encrusted assistants should chuck the culture in its INFANCY to bring in Rondo.
Having patience is not conducive to good Thread counts and posts on the UK, but understanding the narcissist suggestions thinking as a fan some know more than the guy that won more rings than any human who ever coached is comical.
Red Auerbach was a coach and eventually kicked himself upstairs. He knew winning.
Phil should choose Rondo over his philosophy? LOL
I would imagine Kings fans might think a straight Rondo for "Hose-A" if it helped them win more. After all "Hose-A" team is 3 games under .500, not 7.
And, "Hose-A" "Roach" is Fish, not Karl!!!
