I'm not one of the Afflalo bashers - I like him as a player and defended the signing all summer...

That said, I think what I am noticing with him is that it is kinda matchup dependent. A guy like Korver he can post and toast and beat on the perimeter. Teams like Orlando with big, physical guards give him trouble and can push him off his spots on offense and basically shut him down.

my issue with Afflalo is that he doesnt pass or defend much and unless he has a hot shooting game like today he doesnt help much

I'm surprised by how poor he's been at passing. Defense, is again, I think matchup dependent.

Like, he didn't have a hope in hell of guarding Jimmy Butler - but he can guard Korver okay.

But, yes, sometimes he has looked very bad on D.
