Loved the win but loved seeing KP stare down Bazemore and then his big bad brother Melo running in to tell the whole frigging Hawk team that there would be NO bullying here!!!

The thing was that Porzingis showed he wasn't backing down either. Not some soft Euro here. He was ready. Melo came in and made sure the message was sent that they'll go the extra mile to back their rookie.

The team work and supportive nature of the guys on this team this year is very nice to see. Refreshing from the Amare/Bargnani/JR Smith era.

Moments like that only serve to build even more closeness with this team. You can see their confidence growing and growing!

I'm always curious to know what exactly is said down there. Good job by Melo for doing that.

And Melo is coached by whom?

Fisher is also learning which button to push for melo to follow. Fisher might not be the best Xs and Os guy right now......but hes always been a leader of men and a great example for melo.

Also give melo credit for making up for the leadership mistakes or lack there of from the past era of players. He started from the beginning this year and hes been consistent so far. Rolo and AA are the type of vets to have his back in the locker room so credit phil too.

Good win for everybody.....something the team and coaching staff can build on moving forward.

This was a big moment for this group. Showed KPs toughness, Melos leadership, and how these guys like and respect each other. And the relationship between Melo and KP is great. If anyone still thinks we need to trade Melo is playing too much 2k. The chemistry between the two is special.

this also... not just bit guys, Durant, Kobe, premier guys in the league have to utmost respect for Fisher. Xs and Os are secondary to effort and team play, and the Knick play hard and play as a team. Fisher is no dummy and he's got excellent assistants and is implementing a system he played in for years so the Xs and Os will come. Save any of those complaints when Fisher gets outcoached in the finals, until then I will stick with:
impact rookie getting better all the time
Melo showing leadership and team play he hasnt shown under any coach
Knicks are starting to accumulate quality wins
Moonangie @ 1/6/2016 9:11 AM
Melo showed leadership. KP showed grit.

But the way it looked to me, it was actually KP who instigated the trash talking, after her ripped the ball away from a few hawks players, he got right up in Bazemore's grill and told him how it was.

LOVED that!

Yes, the biggest thing that i think gets a little lost sometimes for teams to win in their sport is playing as one team and liking each other and unity. If everyone doesn't get along with each other even if it's just two guys that don't get along with each other it can spread through the locker room and hurt that team unity. The KC Royals are a really good example of this and in basketball the Warriors are always talking about how everyone likes each other or the Miami Heat when it was Lebron, Bosh and Wade.

Bazemore ripped it out of KP's hands after he got the ball in the crowd and was fouled.

Porzingis did go over to Bazemore and they both moved to the face to face position. Wonder if Bazemore said something to him after snatching the ball?

I expect that KP thought he might have been hurt by Bazemore's move...which came well after the whistle. If you remember, KP has a bad finger on his left hand, I think.

That in itself should have been an immediate tech for Bazemore, IMO. Well after the whistle and Bazemore had no reason to violently snatch the ball.

Worked out well for us, though, as we got a show of team solidarity and KP made both shots.

They left out the thing which started it...Bazemore ripping the ball from KP.

This one actually makes KP seem like an aggressor!

Wrong. What else you got?

but yea... a couple dinners, some chats in office... forget about the guy who is in his ear every game, every practice, every tape session.

Just stop. Your anti-Fisher agenda sucks. You are bringing nothing to the table and you constantly make stuff up. Im pretty sure every time a shot doesnt fall you mumble pgucking fisher under your breath. He's doing a good job.
