Knicks · Fredette vs Murry Showdown (page 1)

Two potential call-ups are facing off against each other right now in the D League Showcase. It'll be interesting to see how Toure, who is known for being a defensive ball hawk, matches up against guarding Fredette (if he can slow him down at all). Intriguing matchup to monitor.

this is sad. lol

Have to expect that all the teams with roster space will look at this game carefully.

You really do have to take the game seriously, and you expect that the players themselves know this.

Heck...some of these guys might actually try to play some D in the game.

Nah, it is a great point. Murry can defend, that is his NBA calling card. Fredette seems to have problems scoring in the NBA, let's see what he does against a pretty good defender.
Very important test imo.

I'd like to see jimmer get grants minutes . And grant get jimmer a minutes in the d league. I think that would do wonders for grants development.

Assuming that they were guarding one another . . . Fredette did better defensively.

That's how I understand it from reading up on it . . .

I liked Murry a lot a few years ago - but when we got Galloway that ship had sailed - we got some tough D and some NBA-ready offense. Not sure if Murry's offense has progressed.

What I liked about Jimmer was his carefree, Curry-like swagger in college - and judging by his D-league stats, maybe it's back. 30ft 3, no problem. He's open. I think in the right situation, he could have a Linsanity-like stretch with a team. Put him on a D'Antoni-coached team and watch out.

The rumor is that phil is a fan.....if true this puzzles me why he hasn't been called up. He can take early spot wearing a suit at the end of the bench. I think phil is looking for a championship piece to this puzzle and jimmer isn't a sure thing longterm so there's no rush.....just my guess. Hard to say if scoring at the pg spot is a top need. I think phil prefers more Lance Thomas types that are long two way players.....

Hey I had every right to complain about his random rotation, terrible timeouts, his inability to adjust game plan, players not buying in, loosing confidence

What has fish done since I stopped complaining..he Shortened and solidified the rotation, adjusted the game plan for more uptempo and more ball movement, less iso. More KP at the five. Now I really don't have much to complain about since every thing I've complained about not happening is finally happening... I hope he keeps up the good work I love winning and great team ball.
