Jose needs to play less in the 2nd half for us to have a chance...they are creating all their offense off Tony's penetration (it's comical how easily he is blowing by him).
Also, I know Leonard is a tough cover, but Melo needs to find his jump shot in the 2nd half...1-10 is John Starks like putrid.

melo and affalo have been stinking up the joint. what are you talking about!
Yeah, and we aren't gonna win unless they get it together and get some efficient and under control buckets.
they have been playing stupidly and without any poise. how do you propose they change?
slow down on offense and focus. what do you think we should do - trade them?
yes lets trade them at the half
Man if the refs let Melo play defense like Lenord he would be the greatest player on earth

Yeah. Down by three at the half despite the second quarter isn't too bad.
WP76 wrote:Lucky to only be down by three at the half given our play in the last 10 minutes.
KP came in and they stopped the bleeding. I think they should put Rolo on LMA though - LMA muscling KP in the post, just backing him down til he's under the basket.

The ball movement got really bad in the second quarter

melo plays point guard?

very fair. Some will blame the refs but that isnt the case. KP is a beast so they need to feed him the rock
Lenord fouls Melo every time on defense it's such bs ... SA always has a 6th man with the refs
fitzfarm wrote:Man if the refs let Melo play defense like Lenord he would be the greatest player on earth
leonard is a gifted athlete. his foot quickness is astounding and his instincts superb. the refs are not helping leonard. he's just that great.
Kawhi is probably the best suited defender in the entire league to stop Melo. He might be defensive player of the year.
Danny Green is also a real tough defender for Afflalo.
Probably why the Knicks game plan involved KP getting 11 first half shots.

Not to try to pat myself on the back but all year while people have been complaining about everything Knicks i've been saying that these guys need time to learn the system and learn how to play with each other so hopefully what we're seeing is that they are getting the system down and how to play with each other.
i think you are going overboard about the so called complaining. Most knicks fans have been fair and objective. Its been a season of highs and lows so far as they find consistency. EVERY fan loves KP which is rare for any NBA player even the superstars. Im not saying you are patting yourself on the back BUT you make it seem everyone else has been totally wrong which isnt exactly true
Hahaha are you crazy?? I was being nice about the complaining cause it was absolutely ridiculous on here. Really really ridiculous. Nobody was giving a almost completely new team learning a new offense any time at all to learn the system. Trades were out there like crazy to.
NO im not crazy and i dont appreciate you calling me crazy either. Anyway i agree some like to be a little too negative BUT not nearly as much as you make it seem IMO
Well i didn't call you crazy i asked if you were so there's that and IMHO people took it WAY WAY overboard on here and if i really wanted to which i don't i could go back and pull up MANY MANY threads and posts of an amazing amount of hate and MANY MANY threads and posts that had us trading away players because they're no good at all but the truth all along was they were learning and still are learning the system and the players they're playing with.
But Melo needs to turn it on in the second half ... We need to get back to ball movement and pushing the tempo
fitzfarm wrote:Man if the refs let Melo play defense like Lenord he would be the greatest player on earth
That I agree with. Same goes for Lebron

absolutley correct. fisher probably said "kahwi leonard will be on melo like stink on shyt. lets get kp the ball tonight. by the way has afflalo passed the ball to kp6 even once tonight?
The smart thing to do when you have Kawhi playing D on Melo is to stop with the ISO's and have Melo play offball. All those cuts the other players are making is what Melo should be doing. It is obvious that Melo has nothing for Kawhi so we need to change our plan of attack.
I think they need to push the ball and attack the rim more cuz that was working in the 1st qtr. Spurs don't really wanna play fast.

Oh good i was wondering when you would drop in to throw some of your negativity around here. Thanks for stopping by...lol
We need to come out with big time energy to start the third and attack the hoop... Otherwise this might be the start of a blow out

simple solution triangle wise: have melo and kp switch so melo is starting possessions on the weak side.
