simple solution triangle wise: have melo and kp switch so melo is starting possessions on the weak side.

That will happen. The spacing is horrendous tonight and the claw is guarding him 80% of the time

Our plan of attack has been KP and it seems to be working since we're only down by 3 at half.

Kawhi is probably the best suited defender in the entire league to stop Melo. He might be defensive player of the year.

Danny Green is also a real tough defender for Afflalo.

Probably why the Knicks game plan involved KP getting 11 first half shots.

absolutley correct. fisher probably said "kahwi leonard will be on melo like stink on shyt. lets get kp the ball tonight. by the way has afflalo passed the ball to kp6 even once tonight?

He did once and it led to a foul on Diaw and two FT for KP

nixluva @ 1/8/2016 9:47 PM
Sean Elliot showing respect to KP! He's saying he's not Dirk but Sabonis. Then he had a video with young Sabonis doing the same things KP does! It was pretty cool.
Chandler @ 1/8/2016 9:48 PM
Knicks need to play focused for 24 minutes. No letdowns. Their chance to win will come down to mental toughness
WaltLongmire @ 1/8/2016 9:48 PM
To many of those forced passes to Anthony and AA. Not sure where the nice movement we had earlier in the game went.

I hate to say it but we almost need KP to play the whole second half. Team fell apart without him.

Our bench unit did kill their bench unit though. But KP was playing with that unit. Speed of Grant, DWill, KP gave the Spurs bench fits.

This is a game I would like to see Fish give Grant extended PT in the second half. Let him try his luck on Parker.

Not to try to pat myself on the back but all year while people have been complaining about everything Knicks i've been saying that these guys need time to learn the system and learn how to play with each other so hopefully what we're seeing is that they are getting the system down and how to play with each other.

i think you are going overboard about the so called complaining. Most knicks fans have been fair and objective. Its been a season of highs and lows so far as they find consistency. EVERY fan loves KP which is rare for any NBA player even the superstars. Im not saying you are patting yourself on the back BUT you make it seem everyone else has been totally wrong which isnt exactly true

Hahaha are you crazy?? I was being nice about the complaining cause it was absolutely ridiculous on here. Really really ridiculous. Nobody was giving a almost completely new team learning a new offense any time at all to learn the system. Trades were out there like crazy to.

NO im not crazy and i dont appreciate you calling me crazy either. Anyway i agree some like to be a little too negative BUT not nearly as much as you make it seem IMO

Well i didn't call you crazy i asked if you were so there's that and IMHO people took it WAY WAY overboard on here and if i really wanted to which i don't i could go back and pull up MANY MANY threads and posts of an amazing amount of hate and MANY MANY threads and posts that had us trading away players because they're no good at all but the truth all along was they were learning and still are learning the system and the players they're playing with.

there is a big difference between negativity and criticism. Being critical just means you want the team to improve because you love the team and want them to do well. The knicks are playing well so the threads are much more positive. When they suck they get more critical threads....nothing wrong with either side because its truthful to the state of the team

I think it was Kawhi and Green dialing it up on D honestly. Not a great sign. Kawhi gives Melo fits.

KP much more agile than Sabonis, although Sabonis was a bull.

Looks like they are letting SA get away from things and they're getting most of the questionable fouls when they have the ball.

Not sure what game the refs are watching, sometimes.

Yes I agree esp KP and grant. Grant seemed to be getting into a groove.

When Sabonis was young they looked very similar.

oh lawd i just saw that ref who hates the knicks...ugh
SocraticBallin22 @ 1/8/2016 9:53 PM
Who else cracked up when Jose dribbled in the paint with a really low dribble with nowhere to go lmao
crzymdups @ 1/8/2016 9:53 PM
Another option in this game may be to go small and have KP at the 5 and Melo at 4 to get try to get Kawhi off him.

Lineup I would like to try:

Grant
Galloway
DWill
Melo
KP

That lineup killed it in Portland.

afflalo captain invisible tonight against an elite team.
