Knicks · Melo status ? (page 1)

helloharv @ 1/13/2016 1:04 PM
Any update on his injury and is he playing tonight ?
BigRedDog @ 1/13/2016 1:44 PM
probably a gametime decision. I bet he doesn't play
fishmike @ 1/13/2016 1:48 PM
havent heard anything... assuming he sits as they have a couple days off after (next game Sat). Seems like the logical thing to do.
knicks1248 @ 1/13/2016 1:49 PM
Think we can handle the Nets with out him
WaltLongmire @ 1/13/2016 1:51 PM
Best that he does not play, IMO.

Maybe you give him a couple of minutes to test it in the morning workout, but I'm also betting and hoping they sit him out.

Moonangie @ 1/13/2016 1:51 PM
BKNY Nets is the perfect game for him to sit out. Let KP, AA, DWill, and Grant run over/through them.

lets hope... fingers crossed. Big letdown game possibility. This is where Fisher shows his value. Pushing these guys to keep up this level of effort/execution.
fitzfarm @ 1/13/2016 2:16 PM
I think melo sits tonight. KP is going to be a monster tonight as long as he keeps his fouls down. Kid is outta this world.

Good points !!!

Okay, but who do you start if Melo doesn't go?

LT or D-Will?

I was thinking that also... however I might start Grant. Yes, partly because of last night, but mostly (and how strange does this sound) because Melo is a ball mover and I think Lance/DWill stagnates the offense. Instead go small, play AA at the 3, feature him on offense a bit more. Play LG/Lance/DWill as the 2nd unit.

Should be interesting.

I go with LT.

AA is not much of a ball mover and LT can really guard any position.

Btw, did you see who fisher stuck on Isiah Thomas at the end of the game? LT ... led to that huge Rolo block.

I didnt have to see it... I was sleeping and I could still hear Breen screaming about how excited he was Fisher subbed in LT for Jose in an offense/defense sub and then "LT IS GUARDING ISIAH THOMAS!!!!"

When did Lance Thomas become that caliber athlete? I know prior coaches have gushed about him, I know he was liked over in OKC but this is a pretty big jump. Really impressive. I didnt know he had the hops/quickness he's showed this year. Did we see that last year? I dont remember it. Very Artest like

yeah ... its crazy! Better than artest because he is not artest and he can shoot. Artest was a terrible shooter. Shane Battier or even better, Bruce Bowen.

I pay him 6 mil

Well i've been the biggest LT supporter on here but I.Thomas went right by him and luckily Rolo got the partial block. LT can basically guard every position but he can't guard I.Thomas or the much smaller, quicker PG's. But that's why we have the help defense and Rolo came up big for us.

Thomas gets by everyone but I thought that LT did a good job on that play and was running close to step by step.

What Lance did was textbook. Took away Isiah's right side and pushed right to the shot blockers. Isiah had two options.. force something to his well covered dominant side or get to the basket where help is waiting. Big difference when that help is Robin Lopez instead of whoever that big terrible white guy we had last year who I have erased from my memory.

COLE. Cole dammit who we could of had for $1M and he would have been the same as Rolo! Suckers

crzymdups @ 1/13/2016 6:13 PM
Melo officially out.

nyknickzingis @ 1/13/2016 7:05 PM
And this game just got that much tougher
2nd night of a back to back and no Melo on the road
Only positive is that its not a typical road game.
