How KP6 voted for legues best dynamic duo
http://journaltimes.com/sports/bucks-bea...Kristaps Porzingis, forward, New York Knicks “There are a lot of great players, K.D., LeBron. … That’s a tough one. I really like Russell Westbrook. I like his aggressiveness and his energy. With that kind of player, you can win championships. He’s always going 100 percent, he’s always focused, he’s always playing hard. That’s the kind of guy you want on your team. And I’d have to say Carmelo (Anthony). You need a scorer. He’s the guy.’’
Westbrook is a FA in 2017. Hopefully the way we structure contracts to manage cap allows us to have max money in 2017 to go after a player of Westbrook's caliber. As of right now, Knicks have 40M commited in 2017/18 http://hoopshype.com/salaries/
KP6, you need to get yourself a little black book like Poppa Melo

Yep the idea of going hard at westbrook is the reason I am ok with Calderon on the roster now. The knicks are going to need his expiring salary to have enough money to at least attempt to sign westbrook.
while there's a lot to like about westbrook, i am not a fan of the approach -- too much money and doesn't strike me as the triangle PG.
with the exception of Steph Curry you have to go back a loooong time to see a championship team focused on a point guard (Magic???)

I feel CP3 would be a more likely option game wise (and the Clippers look way more done than the knicks do), but the idea of investing in a 32 yr old PG who will want one more big pay day freaks me out.

Interesting, just by adding the name Westbrook to the mix of Melo/KP6, the conversation goes from trying to make the playoffs to are we a championship team.
