It's about time. A good example is how he coached the last game against Memphis...it was terrible.
You can dissect the game all you want but the bottom line is Fisher is a horrible coach.
1. Playing 12 guys in a close game is not normal.
2. When Galloway ( not a scorer ) plays the most minutes on the team when you need offence is not normal.
3. When a bench player who scores 31 off the bench plays the game before only plays 26 min with our top scorer out is not normal.
4. Not adjusting to Gasol (double team ) when he was a one man wrecking crew is not normal.
5. Using time outs when the game is out of reach is not normal.
Enough...Getting harder to watch each passing week...

If we only win 30 something games then Phil would have him on a short leash to start next year. My guess is that these so called "rumblings" are a month old when we all thought Fisher could be canned. Before the turn around when we were blowing every 4th quarter lead with ISO and not sticking to the system. Hard to imagine this came on after one badly coached loss to the Nets.
I can definitely see Walton here if things don't pan out for Fish tho
Lets see what happens after they lose to Philly today. I still think its more of a talent problem. The team just isnt that good. Without Melo this team wins 15-20 games
this was a fun and actually respectful thread
Lowe knows what he's writing about doesn't he?

Yeah that was what gave the rumor substance. Still this is a big surprise.

I agree about the substance but don't think that it was a big surprise. Thought it would take a bit longer though.
Anthony stepped on the ref's foot on 1/12.
We rallied to beat Boston to reach .500, and on 1/13 we lost to Brooklyn, second game of a back to back after a grueling win...and Anthony did not play.
The article this thread was inspired by came out on 1/15...a day before we lost to Memphis.
Given the fact that after the Bulls' fiasco we won 5/6 (only losing in that epic game to the Spurs), and beat Atlanta twice, Miami, the Bucks, and Boston, before an Anthony-less team lost to the Nets, it seems somewhat strange that the article with the Fisher rumors would have come out when it did.
Seems more likely that the New Years Bulls breakdown would have inspired rumors of Fisher's demise and that Lowe might have heard some stories that had been around for a week or so before he reported them.
Just a thought.
Good point. You also had Phils public comments about poor
Execution.
I think this was festering and not impulse.
Poor judgement on fishers part. He knew Phil wants triangle and the he tuned out the triangle coaches and tuned in okc guys

thank you !
don't mind to say I agree with you on that !
FISHER ..too bad
don't like to see anyone lose their job
However this man Fisher wasn't all in &
I think he could care less if this was NY, New-Pork, Oregon or Hawaii
In NY you need to impress the fans with passion if you're not yet winning or building towards something
in the "PROCESS" which DFish like to garble on
Fisher talked a good game in Post game
but aside from that Derek Fisher was ALL CHIT CHAT SH_t
and produced nothing!
Added no D' to his teachings
Added no creativity to his young players skills
He basically did not want to coach period. Derek Fisher "I Don't Care What you expect Knick fans OR what they think !"
GONE LIKE THE WIND ..D Fish!
