Melo, Rolo, Affalo, Kristaps, Calderón, Galloway, Derrick Williams, Lance Thomas......
From a team standpoint, chemistry and everything making this team successful this year, this is our foundation. We shouldn't trade any of the guys I mentioned above. We get better by adding to this mix.
Respect to O'Quinn, Seraphin, Sasha, Lou Amundson, Grant and Early. These guys are all bringing plenty of energy on the bench and probably in practice. That counts too.
Moving forward, how do we get better without going backwards at all?

I don't think Grant belongs in the foundation column but I also don't think he belongs in the same category as most of those other guys.
He is a 19th pick who is struggling in arguably the toughest NBA position to start your career in.
If you don't want to protect your first round picks beyond 44 games, don't pick in the first round.
Trade them for a surer things.
Our frontcourt of Melo, KP, and Lopez is really our foundation. Those are the longterm guys and everything starts with them. Hopefully Dwill, Lance, Afflalo, and eventually Grant can be part of that, but i think that is up in the air until after the offseason.
I think Dwill and A2 ate making their case. Lopez needs to do more.
Melo has grown on me this year but still doesn't fully deserve his contract
I wouldn't be mad is Melo, Rolo, KP, AA, D-Will, and Lance were the knicks core. It's a solid core, even if it needs more talent to be really dangerous. I'm happy Fisher looks at the team as still a developing team. Adding pieces to that core could make them dangerous.
