late to the party briggs. he's been talked about a few times on this forum already, just no one has taken it upon themselves to make a thread about him.

Let Briggs alone. Before he starts posting "Trade Melo for Al Harrington, 2 second rounders and a cup of coffee" again...

I watch a lot of CBB so I try to get around to all of the NBA teams. That was the 2nd time ive seen him--hes really good. Hes quite skilled for his size--his potential is high--he could stand more minutes but thats not happening on that club.

Only Jim Dolan would make a trade like that after giving up 6 first rounders to get him--oh lets not forget that he had to pay him 250mm to get 1 playoff year as well.

Maybe after 17 years at the helm after trading many(draft picks) potential stars for the likes of Andrea Bargnani Steph Cury Eddy Curry etal hes figured out the actual value of them??

If Fisher was the coach and he wasn't getting consistent minutes it would be a big problem on here but it's Pop so it's alright.

I think the only thing he figured out was to listen to Phil. Which is at least a start.

He has so much more skill than Lopez

If you want a nice hedge--go offer Boban 9mm per for 4 and trade Lopez for draft picks.

Wed be 7-4 and 7-3 on the frontline--we could essentially play 6 guards with those two guys and a back up 5 and a mobile back up 4.

Let the guy play 25+MPG for a season and see how he holds up.

Link to his Euro stats: http://www.basketball-reference.com/euro...

Have to admit that a PED alarm goes off in my head when looking at the guy...HGH, maybe, but I have no proof of this.

I just don't see how a team can offer him $9M/year given his minimal track record in the NBA. Would take a chance at a much lower number, and for fewer years, though.

7-9mm now is the equivalent of the recent MLE. Its less than 10% of the cap. Im just throwing a no chalant figure out there--but this is a player--an an usually skilled player with that size--you can see how he can play. I agree with you hes no 38 minute player--but 25-27 70-72 games yes.

How many rings has Pop won as a coach?????? Can you say the same for the neophyte?

BRIGGS @ 1/28/2016 12:48 PM
You get a guy like this you have KP you can keep Lopez and even Seraphin for cheap--get rid of Oquinn(hes not a Knick)

You keep Thomas Melo and Williams

Then you find 6 guards who have a diversity of skills who can play around those big guys--then you have a serious team. 1 star guard and 5 role players.

When looking at guards they are either 50-40-80+ for 4 of the spots. One of them has top be able to create separation with speed and body control and then atleast one has mismatch size(like Livingston with GS)

mreinman @ 1/28/2016 3:00 PM
wish we had the money for him but you already pissed away 10 million per to galloway
