Interesting...any thoughts on why?

Im not sure on this one--maybe familiarity? He hasnt shown he can shoot or stay consistent.

newyorker4ever @ 1/28/2016 2:39 PM
Ok, this could mean something else is coming or could just mean he wants his athleticism and defense. It could mean that we're about to trade someone from the SF spot so they're bringing up Thumpo to take his spot. Who knows if this has any meaning at all when it comes to trades anyway.

Although his shooting percentage still isn't that good it has gotten better.

Nice gesture - he's put the time in, so it sends a good message to our dleague players

newyorker4ever @ 1/28/2016 2:47 PM
I hope this isn't anything to do with Melo's knee being much worse off then we all think it is.

How much better?

And how come he can't shoot, It just amazes me how a player trying to make a life in the NBA can't shoot. I would be working on that everyday all day. If u cant make at least 40% of your attempts you should not be in the NBA.

20% from 3.

A) We needed another body for the active roster minimum....B) He was the only player who showed up for practice with his passport?...C) He is the only player who already has a Knicks uniform?

Clean @ 1/28/2016 2:59 PM
Anyone think they could be trying out another SF to see if they can replace the production of DWill and/or LT if we were to trade them in the Jeff Teague deal?

Bruce Bowen didnt break 40% shooting until he was 30 years old and he finished averaging .409 FG%

Should he have been in the NBA?

In any case I will tell you exactly what this means. It means we dont know poop about what is really happening. Just like when Lance was working his tail off and everyone cried because we signed the useless Lance vs. NDour or whoever. If there is someone here who has a grasp on what is happening with that team and what the coaches know and see they havent shared it on here. We just dont know, and there is more info to be had than browsing box scores and making judgements

I wonder if he gets action.

Is it really just 20%?? That's worse then i thought for sure.

tis the season. Might be nothing but a grasp by you, might be the main factor. Good thought... only time will tell. Phil keeps a tight ship.

probably seniority, he has been here the longest of any of our baby Knicks and gets first crack

earthmansurfer @ 1/28/2016 3:04 PM
Is there a trade coming and we need his defense to fill in for Derek Williams or?
Makes no sense to me as we lack scoring still. Maybe as a practice player unless for his defense?

Jimmer, Saunders and Trice have arguably played better than him. His offense is not really ready for the NBA yet.

TPercy @ 1/28/2016 3:05 PM
Makes the possibility of a trade of Dwill or LT seem a little bit more likely...
crzymdups @ 1/28/2016 3:06 PM
Knicks are super shorthanded with Jose and Melo out tonight. They just need a body.

I'm honestly surprised Jimmer didn't get the call for at least the next two games with Jose out.

Bowen was a helluv a defender. If you can't shoot then you best be a lock down defender, or be really really good in other areas.

agree... isnt that Thanasis calling? Uber athletic guy who can defend multiple spots?

If they just needed a body i would think that body would of been from the guard position since that's where we lack at the most especially if Calderon is out. This could be nothing at all but i think it means a trade is coming and either DW or Lance (boo hoo) will be involved. Of course this is just me assuming.

Sasha, AA, LT and Thanasis can both play the Guard position
Grant and Gallo can play the PG or SG position

It's either a trade potential chip or more bodies to replace Melo and Calderon.....And limit Fisher's overuse of LT. Did I read somewhere that LT has played over 40mins in his two games after sitting out injured? Looks like add depth to help prevent that from happening again, until Melo comes back. The same seat Early was warming up!
