Next year is not the time to go after a PG, especially when this offense restricts their abilities.

Now, if you can get Holiday or Teague while getting out of Calderon's deal with minimal asset loss, go right ahead.

True but that's why is a combo guard so I can see why people will rank him as a low PG. I can also see him being ranked higher as a sg by the same people.

Also, How many games over 82 has Gallo played? He'll likely continue to grow as a pg the more time he spends there.

I get what you are saying and I kind of agree. The triangle limits the opportunity(reps) a pg normally has with the ball. However, Their are still the basic principle of pg that the triangle uses. PnR(high and side) and transition passing are things heavily used in the triangle. There are also backside lobs from the high side wings that are available for Knick Pgs. There are some many passes that all the PGs(Calderon too) miss.

Another summer will help Gallo though. No Gallo is not your typical "PG" by any means but he is a guard that can come off the bench and play either spot or start a few games at either spot especially when you have additional play makers.

i agree. i doubt he plays another summer league. especially after he gets his first REAL contract this summer

yeah he has adequate ball handling skills. at the very most he's a SG in my opinion. just doesnt have the mentality of a PG at all

I don't agree. Vasquez is younger for one, and while he's not a great defender, he won't get exposed like Calderon. He's not the shooter Jose is, but does most other things better.

Gallo is what he is and i don't see him getting much better than what he is now. He's a combo guard to come off the bench and that's all he is. He started out the year shooting pretty good and once he lost his shot after like 2 maybe 3 weeks he still hasn't been able to find it again which is odd cause even inconsistent players will find their shot after losing it for a while but he hasn't been able to do that.

Rookie wrote:Fisher, Blake, Farmar, etc... Jackson's PG's all average less then 10 PPG and 3 APG. None were allstars or expected to put up big numbers. Hard to attract star PG's to play in the Triangle. People need to get real about upcoming free agency. We are not at the top of anyone's list.

You have zero idea where we are on anyone's list. Prior to this year i could agree with that but KP has attracted a ton of attention from all the star players and Melo has brought his game to another level which star players also have noticed and with that i absolutely think players look at us in a much better way than they did before this season started.
