Knicks · KP and RO Lo in the same unit will NOT work (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 2/4/2016 8:32 PM
We are WAY to slow. This team is not mobile has no real speed a lack of skill players and is built poorly(way too many guys who are 6-8++)

But the theme here is KP and Ro Lo wont work together long term. So its going to be a problem unless they make serious decisions

i agree very slow...but difficult to score on. allows perimeter defenders to defend

We need to run more screen/roll when we set the sideline Triangle up.
It's the simple offense this team seems to grasp.
They can run it with Lopez/Porzingis as well.
Crash the glass.

It doesn't work because they try to run the Triangle and are really really bad at getting into counters and deep into the offense. What we should do is what we did in the 2nd half, which is form the sideline Triangle and run screen/roll or 2 man game action that lead to different types of opportunities with a spaced out offense with guys knowing where each teammate is due to the sideline Tri being formed.

The slow aspect is due to the team not understanding how to move off the ball. Just watch the way they ran the offense in the 1st half vs the 2nd half. 2nd half more screen/roll and action on the weakside. Basically just overload one side with the Triangle formation and go to work on the other side with the 2 man games. Get the guys open shots. Play unselfish. We did all that of that. We can do that with Lopez/Porzingis as well.

Id bring KP off the bench right now. Ro Lo has been our best player going on 6 weeks now.

Start Ro Lo with Carmelo at 4 Lance Thomas at 3 use KP as a sixth man

these guys arent machines tho. that might kill his confidence. king of ny then demoted to bench squad. id start him but maybe cut down his mins

you do realize that if you were the GM of this team you would turn this team into penn station?

KP's minutes have already been significantly cut

I think right now he might do better coming off the bench. Hes really playing in between positions. Id love it if he could stick to the mid range and in(I dont mind a three once in awhile) and maybe this summer while working on strength--the Knicks employee Kevin Mchale to teach him the fundamentals of interior play

the 3 is the only thing he is doing well at right now but keep sticking to the same bull sh1t. Why is it so important for you to be right?

We're a .400 team that isn't making the playoffs. Give it more time for them to continue to grow together. KP is still having a much better season than you'd expect from a rookie. I don't see why you need to change anything at all, let alone trading one of our best players.
