Knicks · Knicks may be in the top 3 worst positioned teams in the nba going 4 ward (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 2/7/2016 1:47 PM
After 50 games of watching the nba that is my own personal conclusion. Only the nets and Charlotte are worse off
crzymdups @ 2/7/2016 1:48 PM
They have a foundational young star to build around. Making your statement both absurd and quite wrong.
mreinman @ 2/7/2016 1:50 PM
I am happy this thread does not mention rolo (yet)
reub @ 2/7/2016 1:50 PM
How so? We have some good young players in KP Gallo Grant Lance and Dwill and a good pipeline in Westchester plus some money to spend. Plus Melo and Rolo of course.

Yep and also the worst guard set up in the nba

Haha!

Agree about the guards. But they also have a top ten building block in the league. If you asked GMs to pick an under 24 player to build their team around going forward, Porzingis would be top ten, easily.

I don't think it's this bad but I do think it's below average. No lottery team without its own pick should be happy about things.

but that's the one and only thing we have. If he doesn't become outstanding, we have nothing.

We also have too many unknowns starting with the 25 mm$ mans knee an the fact he's signed for 4 more years. I hope kp emerges as one helluva 5 and we adjust the plan

Carmelo Anthony is a top 20 player in the NBA.

So they have a top 20 player and a top 10 building block.

They have a solid, flexible roster.

They can easily add more talent the next two summers with the cap going up.

This is the last year they have no pick because of the mistakes of a previous regime.

I think you and Briggs are just feeling whiny because the Knicks are playing like crap today.

Knicks have played poorly for a month. The red flag is when you have all your guys and you start getting smoked game to game. Good team s get better not worse this today is a disgrace even if we come back no d no I fractured line ups no plan

Lance Thomas is out. Melo is injured. Calderon just came back two games ago.

They haven't had all their guys healthy for the past two-three weeks, which coincides with the struggles.

They were playing great til Melo injured his ankle in the second half of the Boston game of that EFFING ref being on the court.

Since then, they've been off and racking up more injuries. Supposedly Melo's knee issue came from the ankle issue - which as a guy who has had ankle issues create knee issues, I believe.

If they can get to the all-star break, they'll have almost two solid weeks off. That will help them.

I didn't mention Melo since I think the thread is talking about the future. And I wasn't even watching today. The problem is KP is our entire future.

Define future. Are you talking next 3 years? We have Melo and Rolo and $20M in cap space each of next two years?

Are you talking about next 10 years? We don't have a draft pick this year, but we have all our picks every year after that.

Yep we're good. It sucks now but going forward the team should be better. That no good punk GM Grunwald got us in this bad place now.
