IMO if we're going to turn this around, Grant will have to be an afterthought for awhile. Once (if) we're out of playoff contention, then we can afford to bring him around. This team needs wins and it needs them now. For all the griping about our (admittedly flawed) roster, I think it's a lot better and has more potential than many of us are giving it credit for.

I'm all for sitting Grant. Or better: send him to the D-League . . .

Yes, this has been widely discussed . . .
Melo playing the first 16 minutes...that's bizarre no?

So i guess now that Fisher is gone you're gonna spend all of your posting time hating on Calderon?? Yayyyyy
Oh my! He ain't coming back dude; so op crying
Ummmmmmm hello.....McFly are you in their McFly?? I'm not seeing where i said anything about him coming back McFly.
Seraphin having his Hardaway jr game.
Man, I knew If Seraphin got some consistent time, he'd help us. He's having a good impact on both ends. Good adjustment by Kurt.
Knicks shooting 50% tonight . . .
SocraticBallin22 wrote:Only positive is that Kurt is actually giving Seraphin a real shot by playing real minutes and he's getting in a rhythm and contributing. He really is a good offensive Big if you give him time.
I've been saying that all year but 69 would get all over me for saying he's better than KOQ.
Malcolm wrote:Knicks shooting 50% tonight . . .
Too bad our defense isn't firing at 50%.

Yeah but the Wizards need to cool off from 3. They're killing us from out there.
No Grant tonight. I'm all for that.

Sort of lends creedence to the idea that the problem was not Fisher, but the Triangle.
That's what I think at least.
So why did the Knicks look so good running the Triangle before MELO tweaked his ankle? They hadn't really gone to the heavy PnR back then but they were playing at a higher level. I don't think it's the offense. The players just lost their groove and have to get it back.
It's the players. They're missing all their shots and aren't playing defense. Same as it was with Fisher.
This team needs the break so they can recharge and get in the gym and practice.
Part of the reason Rambis is in also seems to be to toughen up KP. Phil was clearly unhappy with how KP has been playing - said in the interview he was taking bad shots and playing lethargic. Rambis is definitely on the job to get KP to play better basketball. Interesting. We may see KP's minutes and numbers go down.
Malcolm wrote:No Grant tonight. I'm all for that.
Didn't realize that. Lost my stream for awhile. If Grant isn't playing he should go to Westchester after the all star break.

Clyde says he's lost 20 lbs...did not hear the time frame.
Yeah i was waiting for him to say when that happened but he sure made it sound like it was recent.
love that lefty hook by lopez!!

Still early but he has done nothing different with the rotation so far. I am not liking the Triangle much these days. Initiating offense with Rolo is a joke. It should be Melo or KP or don't do it at all. Rolo is not a threat.
What did you expect him to do different in the 1st quarter exactly?? The starters play the most minutes in every 1st quarter just like every team does and Rambis said he's gonna try to always have one of his starting scorers on the court at all times which is something Fisher didn't always do so what were you looking for to change in the 1st quarter???
Start Gallo over Jose for defense. Run the triangle through Melo on the high post not ROLO.
But we were winning and playing very well with this starting 5 for a while and he said in his presser that it wasn't about change it was about getting back to when they were playing good.

He does look lighter since the beginning of the season.
Wizards 10 of 12 from downtown...are you effing kidding me?
