e.g NEXT laker-ex OR project triangle NBAer to be picked in 2016/17 as next Knick coach.
I feel, Since rumor (Ian Connor) is Tom Thibs would CRAWL to MSG for job op if offered,
I honestly feel Thibs would only concede to Jackson if Tom can implement his Defensive style play Or THIBs Identity of his teams
with success.
One Phil Jax and Thibs can meet in the middle of want of TEAM to be BETTER defensively, & overall compete for playoffs.
The Jax "triangle offense" concedes implementing some Thibs Defense.
Too complicated eh?

I feel Thibs would say NO to any other $$$ opportunity for NBA teams outside Knicks organization.
Thibs will be out to prove he can still NBA Coach at high level Tom's military like defense for 4 quarters
plus have Phil Jax challenge THIBs to learn the facets of Triangle Offense and implement schemes.
This would likely need another laker assistant type, Brian Shaw ? whom NO One offer contract to date for NBA jobs.
Few things to consider here, *vital important:
Phil Jackson and Thibs will agree,
1) BOTH like defense and are highly into defensive efforts full game to win and each has passion for D',
Phil J. as role player on Knicks only offered Defense.
2) Jax and Thibs coached BULLs with of course legendary success for Phil on BULLs title NBA championships with M.Jordan/Pippen
Thibs record good, success with NO NBA rings, with about 50% of Derrick Rose less than 1/2 time Bulls in playoffs mix always.
Thibs get credit for development of Jimmy Butler also, a 2way Star in the making, now an Allstar.
3) Importantly Phil Jackson and Thibs both had BUMPY issues vs. BULLs bossy mgmt. and control, at end of their tenure with BULLs.
Jackson got to respect how Thibs did his job, made playoffs.
4) P.Jackson despite $money in bank is at his 3rd "Strike" out, meaning struck out
getting Steve Kerr (Ex triangle off. champ) strike 1
Failed with D.Fisher (Ex triangle off. champ) strike 2
NOTE: If Phil didn't land Gold with KP lone bright star draft, this tenure of Phil J. would be failure going into its 3rd season
Next yr, of Phil J hiring.
Jackson if Phil is going out wont go quietly by repeating Ex-Laker Coaching Triangle just to prove a point
NONE OF THESE MEN PICKED ARE PHIL JACKSON COACHING TEAM ! Phil J. aint dumb.

I am babbling a longshot in THIBs, but if Thibs and Jax meet quietly when appropriate in offseason, who knows correct ? ? ?
NEITHER Rambis, Not Jim Cleamons, Nor Brian Shaw, etc.. is answer right now for Knicks Organization with KP needing to be
surrounded by right coaching candidates.
NBA NY Knickland and Guru experts know Phil Jackson needs TRIPLEs and HOMERUNs from here on,
to make team playoff bound, NO EXCUSEs, especially with NBA Drafts next yr. 2017/18 and KP here for long run.
Would not be surprised to see Thib as head coach and Brian Shaw as assistant (ex laker)

is that As JVG became famous on his NBA and ESPN gig for early yrs to now,
Van Gundy stated few times when asked about J.Dolan, that he and Dolan get along fine later on
and he respected Dolan $$$ prior to picking Jackson, where Dolan did not always stand pat, right OR wrong
when it comes to making team better ..even in spending $$$.
Also I thought Van Gundy says some kind things (non sarcastic) On Dolan related to the MSG times
during 9-11 tragedy and how it affected ALL around world, including Van Gundy whom lost a close peer/friend in 9-11.
Somehow Dolan did somethings I thought which many with $$$ means to help 9-11 families and those whom perished
and Van Gundy brought up Dolan and something related to 9-11 favorable, since Van Gundy was deeply affected by 9-11.
All in all I am not saying you're not right, JVG and Dolan ending was a mess
however I think they cross paths several times according to Jeff and some of this was not publicized but
I recall JVG talking about Dolan. He wasn't asked too much on Dolan as JVG was asked about his time coaching Knicks.
JVG did not seem to avoid subject but when he had chance to throw fire on Dolan, I don't recall it happening but it
was quiet the opposite.
All these could only come from JVG, no beats sportswriter,
Thus we never know. However if anyone on this board ?? recalls same story later about JVG and Dolan subtle mends
please bring it up here. I believe some merit in what I heard.
Thus back to THIBs,
Then it would be Favorable and consistent if Oconnor rumor on THIBs would crawl to MSG if offered job
implies THIBs has NO issue working for Dolan again.. I presume. Thibs is NY and east coach hard, street and respected
