It's not about "MELO" winning a Title! It's about MELO, KP and whoever we add collectively winning a title. The way MELO plays now is going to be very good for this team going forward as we improve the team and develop the youth on this team. If we had a better PG right now it would push this team higher. We can expect more than one better player to be added to this team!

KP is a rookie with no paint skills on offense/defense ..
Melo need a captain of the team like Lilard, CP3, Lebron to go to the FINALS (Melo is not a team leader!)

KP is a rookie but he already has shown a lot. I would think he'll continue to be able to have an impact the rest of this year and even more next yr. MELO isn't done! He should decline at a relatively slow pace based on his style of play. IMO adding any upgrades at the guard spots and continued development of our prospects will put this team in the playoff picture.

MELO was playing great before the ref tripped him. It's easy bash MELO for not being a great leader but he was leading just fine up to that point and if they gave him a quality PG this team would be in contention. MELO is not the problem right now.

i agree melo has had a really good season on and off the court. However i just feel a trade benefits both sides. Melos knee is a concern and even he knows that. He has played a ton of minutes in his career and that does catch up with you. I guess we will see what happens this week

The deadline week is always stressful just waiting for something to happen. Not that there's a great chance of the Knicks doing something but even a small chance adds to the suspense. Watching the All Star game it might turn some GM's off to MELO given how he looked. We shall see.

It's time to get rid of melo NOW. This is the perfect time to acquire draft picks for this coming draft. Knick fans let's be honest, Melo not winning a title with the NYKnicks.. This team needs a lot of work to become a competitive team with championship pedigree.

We don't have the assets to bring in another all star to play alongside Melo.. Melo is 31 yrs old and starting to have knee issues. If you don't trade him now, you will have a difficult time getting g rid of him in the summer or next year..

Time to build this team around Porzingis and get a couple of nice high draft pick. These players will be with the knicks along Porzingis for many many yrs to come..

If the Knicks don't do this, they will be doomed for yrs... No big time free agent coming here to play for the knicks in the state they are in...
Let's be honest, Knicks are currently in a rebuilding phase... Getting Teague won't make us a championship team. No way...

Melo's knee makes it unlikely that he will be moved at the trade deadline IMO. Too many years left on his deal and its questionable what he could do for a contender this season. Might recover, might get worse before it gets better, hard to say. Do know that if Im a GM, I would want a good long look at Melo's knee, as well as his torn rotator cuff, and labrum, which were never operated on, before taking on a big cap busting deal like Melo's.
