Gordon is pretty good young player who can play some versatile defense. I think his problem is Orlando is trying to develop his 3pt shooting. Other than that he looks pretty good.

I am not a huge fan of Lavine but to me he has started out like a lot of these young SGs have, inconsistent and inefficient. What I do like about him is that he has rebounded and passed fairly well for a young guy. I guess if you consider him a pg then the passing numbers do not look as great. laVine's problem is that he is a mid-range king. He needs to use his athleticism to get to the line like Derozen, Westbrook, or Wall. Defense and getting to the line should be he goals.

That Sam Mitchell interview, where he probably said a bit too much about his players, did not paint a great picture of Lavine's BB IQ, from what I remember.

I proposed to trade THJ for this dude a year ago, and some laughed at me when I proposed it. This cat is THE player Phil needs to have in the triangle for it to truly blossom and reach championship level. Knicks needs to get with his agent and force Minnesota to trade him to NY

Well of course you got laughed at because Minnesota would of laughed at the Knicks if they offered them THJ for Z.Lavine.

At the time THJ was the better player

THJ was NEVER the better player. There was NO way minny would ever trade Zach for THJ. You just don't know basketball if you think we ever had a chance to trade for Zach. Total BS

True That .. THJ performance n talent-skills NEVER matched above Z.Lavine .. Plus Lavine is a natural PG playing combo-guard to Rubio .... The Lavine, Wiggins, then Strong-Forward Towns draft picks in two years makes the TWolves a playoff team in 2016-17 season .. another young star team like OKC Durant, Westbrook, Harden

The Twolve are looking to trade Rubio long contract (Rubio is a explosive PG off the bench .. not a starter in the NBA!)
THJ never showed in any of his performance night after night, that he deserve all the minutes coach woodson n Fisher gave him throughout their losing seasons with Knicks.
Truth b said .. THJ performance was not above J. Fredette combo guard skills

gordon is an excellent defender. but on offense hes a tweener who cant shoot.

lavine is a SG who cant shoot but being forced to play PG.

both are great athletes but not good bball players (yet)

I contend that you can be a good player with out being able to shoot. Also, Gordon knows his limitations on offense but I think they are coaching him to shoot 3s before he is ready. Look at his 5 of FGAs:http://www.basketball-reference.com/play...

I like that he is not forcing up a lot of shots knowing that he can't shoot. Gordon's defense, passing, rebounding, blks, and stls make up for his shortcomings right now on Offense, imo.

I could win with Gordon on my team but I do not think you can say the same thing about LaVine. So we agree on Lavine but not about Gordon. It is what is is.
