Sixers trying to get Teague?
Jennings may still be available.
By dropping below the cap prior to the trade, the Magic have the option to immediately re-trade either of the players they acquired in a package deal.
It is highly unusual for a team to renounce player rights prior to a trade unless there is the possibility of something bigger where those restrictions could be a factor. This is likely a case of keeping your options open, but it's an interesting wrinkle for the Magic.

I think the Love trade trade is most likely. Cleveland knows they need a shakeup.

Report: Sixers 'gauging interest' in Jahlil Okafor trades
By Matt Moore | NBA writer
February 17, 2016 10:16 pm ETThe Bucks County Courier Times' Tom Moore reports that the Philadelphia 76ers are "gauging interest" in fomer No. 3 overall pick Jahlil Okafor:
This is a pretty complicated situation. The Sixers have Nerlens Noel, Joel Embiid (who they haven't given up on) and Okafor. Okafor is averaging 17 points and 7.4 rebounds, shooting 49 percent from the field this season, but has had problems off the court and is a defensive liability. You never trade top-three rookies during their rookie season, but Okafor's value may never be higher.
Much of this comes down to Embiid and what he can do. If they feel Embiid will return from his injuries, trading Okafor now could put them significantly ahead of the curve if they found a team enamored with Okafor as an offensive anchor. However, that's pretty far down the line. For now, they're just kicking the tires on potential deals. This may not mean anything in terms of actual deals, but it is significant that the Sixers are actually open to dealing their big offseason addition.
So both Russell and OK4 have now been mentioned in trade rumors.

plus they'll have other high picks in this next draft and Ok4 seems immature

Wow ok4 has been playing well if anything. He might not fit a style of play they want.
Hard to believe anything your hear, I guess.

I think it was the dangle him out there and see if you can get a sucker to give you an amazing offer for him. If no offer blows your socks off then you keep him.
Can always count on the Kings for drama...
So lets see...Cousins will win his battle with Karl, as Karl is probably gone after this year, and the Kings are now looking for a defensive minded coach on a team whose star refuses to play defense.
Yup.

Would teams be interested if he wasn't seen as a promising player?
Giving away something good to get rid of Calderon would be a shame unless someone wants to give us a mid-round #1.

Not a terrible idea, although you wonder how Teague takes it.
