I always expect a reaction out of you Fisher:))))
You poor poor boy you still can't get Fisher out of your head...lol. I'm just wondering who you're gonna put all your hater focus on when Calderon is gone because i know you can't go without hating on something Knicks, so i can't wait to see who's next on your hater list.
Jose is the last Mohican. I will show nothing but love. The rest of the players are fundamentally sound; thus, there will not be a need to hate

I would love this team. What say you?? This team is actually realistic as well.
newyorker4ever wrote:Alright here a team that i just thought of that i think could be really good. There's Rubio rumors out there for the Knicks and i realize a lot of people don't want Rubio because of his not so good shooting but he does everything else well so this is what i'd do to kinda take the place of Rubio's shooting. We trade for Rubio hopefully adding Calderon to the deal somehow and lets say KOQ and A.Afflalo or L.Galloway but would rather it be Afflalo but either way i'm making this team off of Afflalo being gone next year whether it be by trade or he opts out and we don't re-sign him and to take his place we need to add a shooter at SG which will help with the shooting we lose from our back court from Rubio and i want K.Bazemore to be that guy. With Bazemore, KP6 and Melo giving us most of our offense then we could get by with Rubio because of how good he will be at getting those guys open for good looks on offense. So tell me this team wouldn't be a really good team and i'll tell you you're crazy.PG--R.Rubio

how is rubio's defense? i think a big issue with calderon is that he was so clearly the weak link on D that it became a key part of the other team's game plan. Can Rubio stay in front of his guy?
Also would appreciate any insights on Bazemore particularly his D and "other winning things" thanks

Rubio plays good defense and is really good at getting steals and Bazemore is a 3-D guy so yes both play defense. I wouldn't say Rubio is a great defender but i'll say he's a good defender and leaps and bounds above Calderon which isn't saying much but he can defend.

I like Bazemore a lot, but I'd prefer Jennings over Rubio.
Rubio can't shoot at all and we've seen that you need to be able to do that in the Triangle. Jennings is a streaky shooter, but he can get red hot and take over a game with his shot.
When the Knicks played the Wolves earlier this year, Breen mentioned a stat - Rubio shoots 50% in the first quarter and 30% after the first quarter. That's insane and terrible.
And Rubio gambles for steals, something Phil traditionally doesn't like. Other than his steals gambling, I don't think his defense is much better than Jose's.

Yes i understand that Rubio isn't a great shooter which is what my post was all about if we did get Rubio then we should add a SG that can shoot which is why i said we should get Bazemore if we did trade for Rubio to balance out our back court shooting. Rubio might not be a good shooter but he's good at everything else especially his passing and defense. I'm not saying replacing Rubio in my lineup for Jennings wouldn't work cause i'd love that as well but i was just giving a reason for getting Rubio because so many people on here are against getting Rubio cause of his bad shooting.

I'm not convinced Rubio is a good defender. He's good at gambling for steals - but a lot of coaches hate that. Phil traditionally hated that.

I have never understood the Rubio/Jose switch. Collectively we don't care for Jose cause of his D and lack of aggressiveness on O. You trade Jose for someone who is inept on O... so, why? You gain something in the short term but long term it's the same problem as Jose: a player on a bad contract who has deficiencies that won't allow you to grow as a team too much or whose salary resources could be used in a much better way.

Rubio is essentially a R.Rondo light cause they both can do everything but shoot and the Celtics won a championship with Rondo and Rondo was a big part of that championship so why couldn't we win with Rubio if we had the right team around him?? Do you think that team i put in the post could win and win in the 1st round of the playoffs??

I don't think Rubio is a long term fit for a championship team unless his defense is elite, that's how atrocious his shooting is. Rondo is a career 48% eFG shooter and Rubio is 40%. That's just too much of a deficit. Rubio is Rondo light light light light.

Mike Conley--not even that good. Pay Conley 28mm per??? Or other less guys 1/4 --1/5 for just as much production. Mike Conley isnt Tiny Archibald for goodness sakes. Wed cry if we did that.

Yeah that's a hellz of a lot of money for Conley but he'll get it from someone.
