Magic traded T.Harris to the Pistons for B.Jennings and E.Isloyva.
So Magic get rid of Harris and the contract that they just signed him to and get Jennings and IIysolva but Jennings will probably leave after this year so it's really Harris for IIyslova trade.

Is it possible for the Magic to buy Jennings out and cut him after the trade deadline???
no cuz Peyton sucks. the real question is if theyll resign him after the offseason

I saw a tweet but can't remember who it was from that said Harris is happy to be going to Detroit but Jennings wanted to go to the knicks.
starting line up
Jackson (PG) - 25yrs
KCP (SG) - 22
Harris (SF) - 23
Morris (PF) - 26
Drummond (C) 22
Bench
Jackson (SF) - 19
not a bad nucleus
Love the trade for the Pistons, hate it for the magic.
Maybe the magic would do Jennings for Calderon- I think they want more vets
That's all they had to give up. That sucks., he would have been a nice knick
I don't think Jennings will re-sign in Orlando this summer. I think he just became our #1 most realistic summer free agent.
The Knicks should see if they can try to pry Jennings from Orlando if Orlando doesn't want to keep him.
Calderon and a second round pick? I dunno.
Orlando supposedly made the trade to get cap flexibility, though I don't know who they'd chase this summer.
I think Orlando has 48 hours to turn around and trade Jennings to another team if they don't want to keep him.
If Orlando is just giving away players it is time to go after Victor. The return of Afflalo and Thomas might be plausible if the knicks take on Watson's deal.
so long as phil jackson is running this team you will not see brandon jennings in a knick uniform.

It seems like they are giving away players. Why would you trade for Jennings if he doesn't want to be there. He's going to be a free agent. Its a garbage trade.

i have a feeling you wouldnt think these were garbage trades if they were all made with us

They wanted cap flexibility and got out from 3.5 years of Tobias Harris's deal. Skiles supposedly never liked Harris and was hired after Harris was re-signed last summer, I think.
Skiles likes Jennings and Ilyasova - he may try to convince Jennings to stay.
Like it or not - all the pieces in the trade are better than anything we have to offer outside of KP and Melo.
And here I was thinking that Orlando might actually be a team on the rise at one point this season.
Are they looking at clearing space for Gordon and Hezonja to develop, since they got rid of Harris, and Oladipo is seemingly on the trade block?
Amazing how the direction a team is going can turn on a dime.

This is the 2nd time Skiles have traded Harris, I believe he traded him to Orlando from Milwaukee. This is the second time he was let go for nothing.

Exactly. I understand its frustrating watching teams make moves but we have no assets. Obviously KP is untouchable and melo was give a no trade clause by dolan

I think Orlando is still pointing up. Aaron Gordon is ready to become a breakout player for them. This may just be about clearing room for Gordon to start instead of Harris.
They have a lot of young talent. At some point you have to decide which you're keeping and which you're ditching.
They also created cap space this summer and have no state income tax in FA. Maybe they've got plans we don't know about.
