Knicks · Bryn Forbes teammate of Denzell Valentine---aka Splash player (page 1)

another guy that we should target. Hes a 6-3 SG who can also handle the triangle PG. And watch who plays primary PG --Valentine Guy has perfect form. This is a Golden State or San Antoni material bench player here. They get them at pick 53 and sign them for 4 years 3.8mm contracts.

was this thread just another way to get valentines name onto the forum? we know you like him, so do a lot of people. there's a whole thread devoted to college players, which you post in. why make separate threads?

A few special players Ive brought out on to the main forum. I hear different names from the NBA thrown around and Id rather us either trade for draft assets and get younger--build the right type of players around KP. Forbes might be the best 3 point shooter in the draft--and he wont be on any draft sites--so I think some people would like to see a player like this.

is it really that bothersome? BRIGGS just explained his reasoning, seems fine. Pass it by if you don't want to participate?

Last year we didnt have picks 19 or 33 either. Our main guy is 20. We need to find guards who are 21-25 to put around him to STAY.
callmened@ 2/17/2016 3:33 PM
who are we trading for a first rd draft pick?
who is our main guy at #25?

But we all know these names that you've been making threads about so it's not like you're finding any sleepers at all. Everyone you've talked most about are 1st round picks.

Would you not question the intelligence of any GM that would build around a first year player? Should we start the list of players who had a good firat year only to flop. Not saying he will but its still early to abandon a current game plan. This type of knee jerk reaction more of fan crazed mindset. Again....who do you trade and to whom in order to get a top 15 draft pick. And btw,as many current trams with stockpiled first rounders can attest, not always a recipe for playoff basketball.

We spent 100mm $ on free agency last year and were 23-32. The best player weve had in 20 years was a draft pick. You have 15 roster spots--the best way to find guys is the way the Spurs Warriors and Thunder have done it--through the draft then free agency to enhance. This is a complimentary second line player who has good enough form to one day be a potential NBA starter in the right situation. To get a player like this youre looking mid 2 to undrafted and a salary of less than 1mm. I think if you start adding +45% 3 point volume shooters from very good CBB teams--you will do well.

Can you please explain how an analogy in which the Spurs are used is relevant? By your strategy, they would have traded Duncan, Ginobli, Parker to gain draft picks. The Spurs are exactly the opposite of a team that gives up on proven players only to stock pile draft picks. As for 100 million, would agree there was too much money given to certain players this past off season. Would have not signed Rolo, KO, Etc. Like some guys from last year that were less.

Anyone watching this kid and Valentine playing tonight? These are the type of players we need. And for that Hofstra poster not only is Denzell valentine a pg he's the best pg in cbb and best pro pg prospect

THJr like trade.
Paris907@ 2/24/2016 12:11 AM
If Knicks can secure services of Batum (or my preference Fournier), then Afflalo becomes trade fodder for a late 1st early second. Boston has a truck load of picks, as do a few others. Knicks best shooting guard is JC who I would like to see packaged to the Bulls for Rose, Portis and Taj Gibson. That leaves Rose, Galloway and Grant, none of whom are lights out shooters. We could use a late 1st or early second who is athletic and can shoot the lights out.
Paris907@ 2/24/2016 12:14 AM
Package Melo and JC for Rose (1 year left on his $20 mm contract), Taj G - a veteran presence and can still be effective, and Bobby Portis.

Well to start I want to trade Carmelo for 2-3 picks and I think after this season it can happen the rights to willie g restricted future 1s everything on table other than kp for right price like Martin said. We traded thj for essentially pick 15
