Knicks · Wonder if we are looking at a cheap PG like Napier (page 1)

since they got Jennings?

I liked Napier a lot (for this system) coming out of college and would love to add him to the team. The only question is whether it is possible to develop two young players at the same position. Multiple league execs have stated that it is generally a bad idea from both a political and logistical standpoint. After all, you have to consider agents in the matter, how you'd find time for said players AND whether you can still achieve team goals in spite of their relative inexperience. You wouldn't want another Nik Stauskaus-Ben McClemore situation on our hands.

I think there a definitely looking for a cheap PG, just not Napier. Shabazzhas many of the same weaknesses as Calderon and he's not as good a shooter. I'd like them to take a look at a younger guy who can score in the paint.

loved napier at uconn.. haven't really followed him with the magic this year though. he's a bit small for what phil usually likes to do (just trying to look at this as phil probably would) but based on what i've seen from him at uconn, i'd take a shot on him, he's a tough as nails player.
