I am hearing Kevin Martin and Ty Lawson possibly might be waived. Any others?
I heard the Jazz deal. Also RealGM is reporting they will waive him if he's not traded. Some see that as a red flag. In Knick land thats how we build teams
Joe Johnson maybe bought out. I think Lance is waived either after he is traded or after the deadline. David Lee if he isn't moved has been mentioned. Also, Dallas didn't use their exception so they can pay a guy that is waived more. Read this on twitter from a dallas guy that is expecting the Mavs to go after Martin if he is waived.
A motivated Joe Johnson might really help... although he's been terrible. Is he hurt?

You know, I didn't realize Lawson amended his contract to make next year's salary completely unguaranteed. WOW. I understand he wanted out of Denver but man, what agent lets him jeopardize over $13mm in salary, esp. with his off-the-court problems no less? After this year's poor performance, he's not getting that money now. WTF kind of gamble was that to make consider his off-the-court troubles?? That's unbelievable to me--there's a chance this guy may never get another NBA contract now! I still like him but he's been that poor this yr...I mean knowing this about his salary though, maybe we should give Lawson a look. Before, I didn't want any part of his 2016/17 salary (over $13mm). Not the case anymore...I believe we'd still have to go salary for salary in a trade to get him (he making a little over $12.4mm). Any trade would have to include Calderon. Not sure why HOU would even want Calderon but hey man, if they agree to take Calderon and O'Quinn for Lawson, you do it. I might even consider throwing in Early as a sweetener. Even if Lawson didn't work out past the remainder of this year, we'd still succeed in wiping Calderon and O'Quinn off the books...
Why would the Jazz trade Trey Burke for Lawson?? I know Burke hasn't been great so far in the NBA, lost his starting gig to Raul Neto, but he's made a little progress this year, at least statistically.. Made some good progress in college from his freshman to sophomore seasons too. He might be a guy that just takes a little while... For us--we're in dire straights here, it makes sense to go after Lawson -- NYC, the mecca, teaming back up with Melo and Afflalo--these things could galvanize him and if not, at least we wipe Calderon and KOQ's salaries off the books. But for the Jazz, I dunno man. Wouldn't you want to show a little more patience with Burke? I mean if Burke's available -- do we look into acquiring him? Do you guys like Burke better than Grant?
Joe would be great, but no reason to go to the Knicks.
Heat, Cavs, Spurs, Thunder all make more sense. Living on the road for two months and having a chance to win a championship is better than settling for the knicks. would definitely take him though.
I know the need is for a PG but if J.Johnson is available, I think you have to take a chance on him.
I hope we can clearly sell a released player on the potential opportunity here - even if we're not making the play offs, for the right player (e.g., PG), we could end up giving them a lot of playing time & an opportunity to get paid this off season.

Signs point to the Jimmer..... he's running the triangle right now in house. I still like my boy Wroten. I wouldn't mind dumping Calderón now. Kinda tough cuz he's interested alot of energy trying to get it right from a chemistry standpoint.
Maybe we say bye to Lou. We could sign Wroten and Jimmer. Drop Calderón To The end of the bench, Start Galloway for now with Afflalo. Let Jimmer, Wroten and Grant learn and possibly overtake Galloway as starter

Makes me think folks are just talking smack about characters in their minds versus talking with knowledge of actual people with real life responsibility.
(I appreciate Dolan's name is being brought up here in a relatively benign manner but I don't get why everyone has his name in their mouth these days.)
