word was Harris was very negative, so maybe you are right and they didn't improve. Maybe moving him builds chemistry that was missing and helps them win more games. And maybe they have a very good young core and 43M in cap space this summer. Oh and they have their own 1st rd pick and a stockpile of future 1st's. I like their future, don't dog my second team to root for

This squad, even with an upgrade at PG, wasnt going to the ECF, let alone the finals. This summer will be where the action is. Seasons past Dolan would have forced a rearranging of the deck chairs. Phil isn't doing that, he's waiting for better opportunities in a few months.

No move is better than a bad move. They did no harm to the cap and can still bring in a player for the last roster spot. They also have the off season to get better. As for the status of the roster they just have to dig deep and look to get back to playing good team ball as they were earlier.

This team is capable of playing at a higher level and not having to push MELO into playing 40 minutes. We don't know for sure that they won't get back to .500. For one thing I actually liked some of what I saw from Rambis. From his comments he's got more changes in store and they all sound very sound IMO. MAYBE Rambis has better ideas than Fish that can squeeze a little more out of this roster. It's worth a shot. Anything is possible at this point.

This same team was playing really well up until Melo stepped on the refs foot and missed some time because of it.

They definitely should bring in a guy and give him minutes. I still really like Wroten but would be fine with another player coming in. I like Thanasis but I hope they bring in a point guard. Also, it does seem like Westchester has become more of a developmental program that the team can utilize. I am hoping Early rehabs and plays there and it might not be a bad idea to send Grant down for a few games especially if another young back court player is added.

I would use "disappointing," instead of "disgusting," but there did not seem to be many great moves to be made. You know that Jackson wanted to get some help for the team, but it looks like he was right not to make a Bargnani type deal to get a Beverly or Teague.
You look at the potential Beverly "deal" and it was obvious that Morey was trying to rip us off. I expect that Atlanta, still pissed off with the Hardaway trade, was attempting to get a little revenge in any Teague trade on the table.
You can't deal out of desperation when, even with the deal, we will probably not make the playoffs.
It would have been more disappointing for me if we had overpaid for a player in the way we usually seem to have done in this century.
