Great minds do. You called for Derek's head(his shiny one, not his python) a Loooooooooooooooong time ago, but everyone made fun of you. I've been calling for Jose's head since before Christ.
Let's hope Jimmer is Glens Falls chosen one. Synergy.

Let's all be clear here. No one is saying Jimmer is the fix or the savior or even a decent defender. He can shoot probably on par and in some cases better off the dribble than Jose.
The season's slipping away, and there's literally no difference between winning 35 games and barely missing the playoffs and just completely losing every single game from tonight until the end of the season.
It's time for that dice roll, play the youths, see what you got, and see if you can catch lightning in a bottle with Jimmer.

Come on Nalod. Join our circle Jerk! It's okay, we take on all "Members" big and small.

“There’s players we‘ve kept our eye on we might bring in,” Rambis said. “We’re looking at guys who can possibly come in and help us out or take a better look at in practice and see how they fit in with everybody else — whether they play or not.’’
Two things, he's not joining the club until they return from Minny and he's just a practice dummy so expect plenty of Jose and Sasha with Jimmer relegated to cheer leader
Nalod@ 2/19/2016 3:58 PM
The thought process all along must of included a plan to bring Jimmer in at some point. Why sign the 26 year old otherwise? As habitual starphuchers Im sure some will be super excited about his being added but the reality is he has elevated his game at some level and proven to be Triangle saavy.
Im not expecting Linsanity but I'd like to see him do well of course. Whose minutes does he take? I want Grant and Gallo to keep moving forward. Perhaps he eats into everyones minutes. Sasha should not get off the bench.

i'm on board with this. Agree with your sentiments. Saw that they also considered Tim Frazier. looks like Wroten just isn't on the Knicks radar.

Why not sign both Frazier and Jimmer. There is so much dead weight on the roster; don't understand why they can't just release a player.
SocraticBallin22@ 2/19/2016 4:00 PM
It's about time; however, it means nothing unless Jimmer gets a real shot by playing significant minutes--meaning over 20 minutes a game. There is really no reason not to give him a real chance to earn a rotation spot or the starting job.
Also, I've said it before in another thread, if you give Jimmer Jose's minutes, he would easily average close to 15 points a game and be productive offensively. The only issue is his defense, but it cannot be any worse than a 34 year old Calderon.

It seems to be a tight group of guys and there probably is only minutes for one additional point guard. I really like Frazier also. I think he will stick somewhere. Not sure about Jimmer but I hope it works out.

Would Jimmerific suffice?

Maybe Phil was waiting until Fish was gone so he would not mess with JImmers wife?

Ouch.
fishmike@ 2/19/2016 4:20 PM
his ability to shoot means there is some lightning in a bottle potential. If he comes out hot and hitting his shots he could do really well. He's an explosive scorer and an excellent passer. If he comes out hot and establishes himself as a scoring threat immediatly a few simple things can happen. First his confidence will be high and that is critical to any success. Second if he's hitting shots his teammates will appreciate what he's bringing despite his limitations. Also the space will allow him to make more plays.
If he struggles to score out of the gate I would say he's a gonner. He's not bringing enough other things for this team and coaching staff to be patient while he sorts through any offensive struggles, or a poor shooting slump to start.
That being said I think Jimmer is a better player than Lin, but he's got a few issues between the ears that Lin didnt have. A little maturity goes a long way. Good luck Jimmer.

Yikes. Good thing Fisher wasn't around to stick his fishing rod in Jimmer's chica. Could've gone nuclear around here!

I noticed a lot of writers instantly went negative once the Jimmer news came out. Maybe I am too optimistic but I see Jimmer helping out our bench. How many games have we gone where the bench went 5 minutes without a score. If he can help that then he is helping out the team more than Lou and Early.
SocraticBallin22@ 2/19/2016 4:30 PM
Jimmer will make it rain from 3. Can't wait to see him. You know what I love--he can shoot and is agressive! The anti-Calderon. Look out!

It's just another case of the triangle limiting our options. They went with the guy who has been playing in the system. I would actually like to see Jimmer get some playing time now that he is getting the audition.

IMO, Wroten and Frazier should both be signed with the intention of developing them for possibly a roster spot next year. Wroten has already proven himself and all you do is hear positive things about Frazier.

Totally agree. I would like to see us open up another roster spot.

JIMMAH! Sure why not.
I would've rather seen Wroten, but hey give him a ten day contract and see where it goes. Maybe turn to Wroten if Jimmer bombs after ten days.
