JIMMAH! Sure why not.
I would've rather seen Wroten, but hey give him a ten day contract and see where it goes. Maybe turn to Wroten if Jimmer bombs after ten days.
Don't sleep on the kids ability to get to the basket. I can see him doing what Galloway and Calderón do but more prolific.

So then you will be disappointed if Rambis doesn't let him suit up for games? I won't be surprised if he gets the DNP over Sasha and Lou

i'm on board with this. Agree with your sentiments. Saw that they also considered Tim Frazier.
looks like Wroten just isn't on the Knicks radar.
Why not sign both Frazier and Jimmer. There is so much dead weight on the roster; don't understand why they can't just release a player.
It's just another case of the triangle limiting our options. They went with the guy who has been playing in the system. I would actually like to see Jimmer get some playing time now that he is getting the audition.
IMO, Wroten and Frazier should both be signed with the intention of developing them for possibly a roster spot next year. Wroten has already proven himself and all you do is hear positive things about Frazier.
How? How has Wroten proven himself?

Yeah, it's a good time to take a look. Low expectations are good, too. We didn't have any of Galloway or Lin, either.

Wroten definitely has not proven himself, but then again, neither has Jimmer. I would like to see us open up one more roster spot and give another guard a shot at proving themselves. A little competition isn't a bad thing. This kid Frazier is also looking like a great locker room guy and he can play. It's not like the triangle needs a superstar guard.
I desperately hope I am wrong, but I suspect this baby is much worse defender than Jose.... what is his exposure, what is his experience?... I am afraid he will be sent back down and not looking back... you are in a D-league for a reason, don't think all the managers are idiots.

Averaging 16 points for an entire season is not in some way proving yourself? He needs to work on his shot but he's proven he can slash and score.

Dude played 30 games last season before ACL and shot 40%. He can slash... what else?
Frankie Ice ranting about Jimmah.
Jimmer might be our best pg right now
SocraticBallin22 wrote:It's about time; however, it means nothing unless Jimmer gets a real shot by playing significant minutes--meaning over 20 minutes a game. There is really no reason not to give him a real chance to earn a rotation spot or the starting job. Also, I've said it before in another thread, if you give Jimmer Jose's minutes, he would easily average close to 15 points a game and be productive offensively. The only issue is his defense, but it cannot be any worse than a 34 year old Calderon.
he has to earned minutes, thats the bottom line

This is pretty much how I feel. I do think it is a good look to give guys from your d league team a chance though. Hopefully Jimmer gets a chance and if things don't work out the Knicks look at Frazier or Wroten.

Isola just lives to trash the Knicks. Thing that bothers me isn't that he doesn't have some points but how about a little bit of balance? He NEVER presents the other side or brings up any possible positive aspect of what the team does.
In any event Jimmer makes sense because he's been playing in the system for months and given how few remaining games there are it does makes some sense to go with a guard that you've been watching closely for months. A kid like Frazier would have no chance IMO. He may have some ability but the learning curve would kill him and I think Wroten would face a similar hill to climb. Not to mention that Wroten hasn't been playing. Based on the timing I think this was the logical move. This also helps the W Knicks players to believe there's hope if they keep working hard!!! Lets hope he has a break out performance and helps the team during this final stretch.

your beating a dead horse
Isola doesn't usually go after Begley.

Yeah this guy is something else. Plus he's wrong in that there will remain interest in Jimmer and if he does actually play well that will lead to more stories. Isola, some media guys and some fans are so convinced this is a bad team. They can't imagine that the Knicks could go on a run. It's not impossible as they try to make it sound. Any team that has lost as many super close games has a chance to go on a run if they get rolling.

Isola is a hack and writes trash.
There is no way anyone can tell me that Jimmer could possibly be any worse than Jose is right now at this stage of his career. Jose is easily the worst defensive starting point guard in the game with zero penetration and zero chance of drawing fouls.
And call me crazy but I have a feeling that Rambis will actually give him a real shot with real minutes.
Isola is a straight up asshole.

Rambis is coaching for his BBall Life right now. I'm sure that if Jimmer is killing it in practice that he's not gonna hold him back rather than play a guy that could help. This team is so starved for scoring that I can't see how he doesn't get a shot!!!
