Jimmer is simply a dice roll, if they catch lightning in a bottle the 10 days he's here, then they extend him for the rest of the season then evaluate afterwards. Remember they did the same thing with Jeremy Lin, there's ZERO risk in a Westchester Knicks NBDL call up.

No, I can tell this from watching him in college and seeing some Westchester games even when he exceled. Doesnt take a genius just a understanding of the distinction between levels of play. Yes indeed.Just irks me that we had this spot open for some time to fill with a real longshot and now default to this one trick pony who is known around the league. Word. Grant should be starting at this point of a lost season. Making the playoffs is a foolish objective. For what? To get swept in round one.

I have not read where he is the second coming of Lin by anyone than fans clamoring for knicks to sign him.
The hate for Jimmer is amazing. Where were all these negative comments and articles when Thansis was signed to a 10day contract? Seeing all the hate he receives from people for no reason makes me want him to succeed so he can shove it in their mouths. The guy signed a 10day contract so he can audition for the 15th roster spot. By the way people are reacting to it you would think he was signed to a 5 year deal at the max to be our starting PG.

Nobody was thinking that Thanasis was coming in and be in the rotation. A lot, including me, thinks that he should be in the rotation. That is why people are reacting.

Its the "Cult of Jimmer" stuff that drives some crazy, and I'll bet it drives some of the players and coaches crazy, too.
Jimmer is 26, and has been tossed from team to team since he was drafted much higher than his talent warranted, yet some around here continue him as some kind of savior.
I'm hoping that he shows us something which earns him some playing time, but some folks have to temper their enthusiasm about what he can do for a team.
There is zero NBA talent in our backcourt. I rather play a 26 year old who can actually hit a contested jumper and has a future , then to play a pg who wouldn't even be in the NBA right now if he was a free agent in Joses

It's not that Jimmer is the team's savior, nobody is even coming close to saying that.
It's that Jose is that freaking bad....
Kyle Lowry literally did Ice Cube's line in his classic single "Today was a good day". Like Lowry just literally phucked around and got a triple double almost effortlessly. Kyle Lowry is an all star, yes, but forget Kyle torching you individually....to not even box out for boards or just be a revolving turnstile for that many dishes to his teammates.
I mean there's no coming back from that. I'd rather Lowry just torch Hose-A for 30 and the Knicks shut everyone else down, but alas this is the hand we're dealt...
