Knicks · SAME GAME PLAN: NYK @ PACERS (page 14)

SocraticBallin22 @ 2/24/2016 9:42 PM
Can someone please answer for me why KOQ came out with 10 minutes to go in the 4th when he was having a career game and helped the team come all the way back and take the lead? Where was he? What does a bench player have to do to earn more minutes? Even with a flawless game, they can't got more burn?

George sure looked like a leader and All-Star

These Knicks need to stop talking and accepting defeat.

I don't know. Ask David West, Hibbert etc about Paul.

Rambis had his Fisher moment lol. Take a guy out when they're hot.

That's what triangle coached do.

KP misses a wide open three at the top of the key with 6 seconds to go and it's a "tough shot" or a "rookie mistake" to rush it.

Melo misses a rushed turn around three with 2 seconds left to tie because of the KP miss and it's "F Melo!"

Pathetic, NYK fanbase. Pathetic.

come on dude. Dont turn this into KP vs melo. I respect your loyalty to the guy but he needs to deliver more than he did tonight

I like both KP and Melo. And also the Knicks. I'm tired of people blaming losses on Melo.

when you demand a maximim contract and proclaim yourself as the leader....it comes with the territory
SocraticBallin22 @ 2/24/2016 9:44 PM
And someone please tell me how losing a close game like this while playing all veterans heavy minutes and sitting all our young players like Jerian and DWILL do for the future of our franchise? It makes it even the more so pointless.

Really don't get it. Seems like forever we've been waiting for O'Quinn to play like he did at the beginning of the year and when he finally does we don't ride it out.

Points in the Paint, bad game by Melo, taking KOQ out forever, and no RoLo to tap in rebounds nor block shots in the paint late in the game, that is why we lost.

that's fair. tired of Melo receiving all the blame here though.

So it's Anthony Davis's fault the Pelicans suck? He makes more than Melo.

Nothing to do with the final shot man. You know very well why people are pissed at Melo since he was reinserted in the 4th quarter after we came back and took a substantial lead with him on the bench. You even took part in defending him earlier. No need to play dumb man its unnecessary

SocraticBallin22 @ 2/24/2016 9:48 PM
Listen...if you're a superstar in Melo, and you just called out your team after the last game, questioned the direction of the entire organization, publicly said you have no relationship with Phil, publicly said you were frustrated and tired of losing...you CANNOT come out the game after on the road when the rest of the team stepped up their game and showed up and have such a bad game. It makes you look really bad as a leader. And his body language looked terrible the whole game--not to mention losing his cool with the tech which forced us into shooting 3's to tie the game. Just an all around bad look.

when did i blame melo for the loss? I mean he gets some blame but not all. Im glad the melo fans are loyal but be a little bit objective. Im not saying bash him but its ok to point out mistakes or bad games thats all

I thought you said the Knicks were bad because of Calderon and their backcourt? So is it just Melo's fault specifically tonight? Not Afflalo's at all?

I'm just trying to figure it all out.

This times infinity. It's bad when the rookie shows more balls than the supposed superstar.

Where is this notion coming from that Melo is a leader? He never has been since he's been here.
With that said, I wasn't aware he said all of those things before reading your post. After reading it, I can only agree. Very fair look at everything.

yea and he already hit one of those game winning bombs earlier in the year. That time he just got it off late. This time he got it off which I was happy and confident about since he's done it before but he missed. Like Chuck said the rookie showed up and Mr. $124 'oh woah is me' million didn't

You know who made the playoffs in his rookie season? Melo. Not KP. Oh smack, son.

Glad to see he has his game back. It has been missed this month.

He has 2 rebounds.

20 points though, what's Melo's shooting percentage right now?

We all know Melo is having an off game so your not telling anyone anything (shocker) but you need more than 2 rebounds from your PF/C in 33 minutes.

Porzingis playing in the final minutes of our games got us a 2-13 record in 15 games
Melo still clueless on how to play defense in the final minutes of the game got us a 2-13 record in 15 games
Lopez couldnt play the final minutes of the game, because Melo did not want to defend Paul George, so we sat Lopez n put Lance Thomas in the game to defend Paul George .. Paul George defense without any help defense locked Melo scoring game up. Paul George deserve every penny of Melo's $124M contract

i had no problem with the shot. Hell i would have had no problem with melo taking that shot either. However i do find it funny that the people bashing KP for missing the shot are the same ones defending melo
