Knicks · John Wall unhappy with the Bullets (page 1)

Saw this at BBI. Not sure if true
GustavBahler @ 2/25/2016 2:43 PM
Would love to see Melo hear "I'm coming home" one more time, lol. Wall in NY would be a seismic shift in the East IMO. Nice dream.
GoNyGoNyGo @ 2/25/2016 2:47 PM
Wall is a good fit. Not a great shooter or defender but he gets to the basket and creates for his teammates. Plus he is young.

Never understood players who come to this conclusion AFTER signing a long term contact with their team. If you wanted billboards, become an UFA and go to a city that is more your personality.

He took contract security and should live with the scenery.

nyknickzingis @ 2/25/2016 3:30 PM
Only way it could happen for us if we did a 3-way trade. Melo going to his preferred destination, them sending Washington the assets for Melo, and us maybe adding Grant on top of it. Could see it happen in that scenario. Any other no way.
Chandler @ 2/25/2016 6:14 PM
going public with that sentiment is a big turn-off for me. deal breaker. And honestly, even if this sentiment were not public but someone like Phil knew of it, it would be a dealbreaker.

Just imagine if he gets booed

gunsnewing @ 2/25/2016 6:53 PM
Damn this is worse than something Marbury would pull.

With that said I'd love to see him get to have all that in New York

EnySpree @ 2/25/2016 7:41 PM
With a guy like John wall we could go long stretches just living offhis ability to dissect a defense. He's not a free agent though, so bye
NardDogNation @ 2/25/2016 9:20 PM
For him, I'd scrap the triangle and build around he and Porzingis.
ChuckBuck @ 2/25/2016 9:39 PM
Wall is such a freak of nature, you'd deal with any baggage.

Guy is the truth, definitely a top 5 PG.

You would take him over
Steph
Westbrook
Chris Paul
Lilard
Isaiah Thomas
Irvings(If you consider him one?)
Lowry

you'd take him over CP, Isaiah, Irving, Lowry. Not over Lilard, Westbrook or Steph.

I think Wall is getting frustrated by the lack of fan interest in the team this year. DC is a Redskins town and it's hard for any of the other sports teams to get attention. This is especially true this season, after the Skins pulled themselves up to mediocrity. The Wiz received some buzz last year, but they've been a disappointment thus season. The Washington Caps are having a helluva season and no one cares. Plus, Wall has to deal with competition from other PGs for national endorsements. You'd think Paul, Curry and Westbrook were the only PGs in the league if you based it off television commercials.

He is not anywhere near the level of CP and Lowry....

Isiah Thomas's and Irvings defense may not be as good, but they are much better on the offensive end then John Wall ever will be. Wall is a god awful shooter who takes terrible shots. He has the ability to go to the rim with ease but keeps shooting himself out of games.

CP3 is an all time great, that all said, I'd pick Wall today in 2016, because CP3 has too much tread on his tire and is already 30. You get CP3 if you're a piece away from the Championship. We aren't, so you pick Wall who has another 10 years in the league for roughly the same production.

Don't want Isaiah Thomas or Kyrie Irving, both shoot way too much. Kyrie isn't even a point guard. Isaiah is one injury away from being irrelevant(5'9).

Lowry was almost a Knick until Dolan vetoed the deal, I like him. He's the type of player New York would absolutely love.

nychamp @ 2/26/2016 10:24 AM
Wall would be a dream signing, but obv it's totally not feasible or realistic so this thread like so many others are in the pure fantasy category.
Nalod @ 2/26/2016 10:31 AM
Trade Melo for Wall?

Melo can keep "Going home".....To West BaltimoreISH.
Or, trade to Brooklyn, where he was born.
Eventually he can finish his career in Denver in some starphuch final season and they "Coming home to where it all began".
Just keep "going home"......

Wall to me is Jamal Crawford.

dude that's 2 steps fwd, 2 steps back.

I would trade everybody on the knicks for WALL except KP and MELO, that would be a core any role player would want to be part of

that's just dumb.
Moonangie @ 2/26/2016 11:14 AM
This fantasy idea of Wall to NY would be the only way my son becomes a Knicks fan, so I'd make this trade in a heartbeat.

That said, he's not a FA, so not gwine happen.

Uhhhhh. NOPE. I'll give you a pass because any Melo mention in a thread gets you a little drunk, but that was a top 10 horrible take.

Wall actually is a true All Star, a true point that's averaged 9 assists for his career, made All NBA defense, and behind only maybe Westbrook as the most explosive athletic point guard in the league. Guy's arms and reach is long as shyt too.
