Ty Lawson, about to be bought out. We don't have to give anyone up, can send Jimmer back to Westchester to free up a spot. Very low risk audition.
What you think? Yay or Nay and why?

Nope. If his inability to work with the Trianglist brian shaw is any indication perhaps its not a good fit in NY.
The kid has talent but he is a mess and while our back court is nothing to write home about the season is winding down and there is no point.
Not to say never, but not now. I'd rather Jimmer work his way in. He put in the time in the D-league and is a "Knick" first. Even if its a Westchester knick!
The Rockets are waiving Marcus Thornton. Is this in place of buying out Lawson or is that still happening?

You know what, Houston may be a hotter mess than the Knicks LOL

I agree. The stuff Berger wrote about Harden was pretty awful. Berger has always been credible so I think it is at least partially true.
Honestly they should let Jimmer go, cut Early and get Lawson and Thorton off of waivers.
Meh. I'd still rather sign Wroten.
I guess that's a nay lol.
Oh well, 22 games left of Calderon, recent hot shooting aside.

I would to. Wroten is only 22.

Thornton interests me. I don't know anything about his personality, but that guy is a combustible scorer off the bench.
Though I can't imagine he'd come to NY over a playoffs team.
That goes for Lawson, too.
Miami lost Tyler Johnson and Beno Udrih for the season. I bet Lawson goes there if he is bought out. Which won't be good for his purple drankin'.

I think Lawson wants to be bought out. He gave up guaranteed money to get out of denver and bet on himself. It hasn't panned out for him. Not sure if it is his issues with alcohol or Houston but it is concerning.

Shaw never ran the triangle in Denver. Still, im more inclined to stick a fork in him. Id rather see more Grant at this point

This. But if the Knicks could somehow get Kevin Martin after he is bought out I think he would be fantastic. He might start over Afflalo.
Marcus Thornton would feast in the triangle. Would love to get him.

And to think there were many advocates for copying this model. Well I guess that didn't work out. Glad this happened to Morey. He is annoying and thinks he's smarter than everybody else.
Lawson officially bought out. Just in time to make a playoffs roster on another team, so maybe he'll go to a playoffs squad... though I sort of doubt a playoffs team would take the risk.
I dunno, I am leery of him.

Huh. That is interesting. I missed that earlier.
He played with Melo briefly, right? If they got along... maybe?
We're at the point now where if we can get a guy cheap like this, he's worth a flier.

knicks fans really love to think they are.

Yeah, I noticed no one paid it the attention I thought it deserved- just assumed it was only me who found it interesting- ha!
