Being totally irrelevant to Knick future, it takes all pressure and responsibility of making Melo trade decision from Phil personally and organization in general. It basically guarantied that Dolan will be handicapped from making any Melo related panic moves.
Just brilliant!!!
Another chord striking thread.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Why?....
I really think it is positive when team management make smart moves.
It was a rarity with Knicks for a long time.
No more fan pleasing. Lets go to work.
Like it or not, this is a longer process than even phil would have liked to admit to. Fans are angry by results but the reality is the assets that we had were few.
We got to .500 and it was obvious that the team was playing over its heat. Its baffling that Fish coached this team to .500 twice than committed a firable offense.
Regarding Melo, the NTC was necessary to resign Melo which means we retain an asset. I'd like to see him traded but that means we in return we get youthier assets.
That means more "development" and another draft.
Then Free agency in 2017. Many of you won't like that, but that's just the way it is. Dolan paid PHil 60mil to do whats right, not starphuch "win now".
