Knicks · Roster spots next year?? (page 3)

IMO it's not about starting MELO, KP n RoLo! They aren't the source of the problem. Seems to me that once you have NBA starting quality guards then you will see a more competitive team. Also the rotation is more important. KP has come out early in most of these games anyway so they stagger the minutes of KP n RoLo and often RoLo doesn't finish games.

I very much appreciate the effort with Hairston, Ferrel, Bayless. It improves the team amd makes them at best a 500 ball club. Okay 550 at best. They won't compete with Toronto or Cleveland or Boston.

I think you've got to set sights higher. By the time that team plays 2 years together, Melo will be going on 34 and a defensive liability.

I think the effort still has to be save your money. Calderon is on for 1 more year. Wroten, Grant, Gallo, Williams and KP will improve and Hernangomez will be on the roster presumably. Lopez stays and solidifies the front court w KP on D. If Melo goes for a pick and $$$$, it works to our favor. Get Fournier or Batum. Let Afflalo sign elsewhere. Thomas can go also yet he solidifies the second team D.

You'll have KP/Wroten/Batum/Lopez/Grant/Galloway/Williams/
A top 10 pick/Hernangomez/OQuinn.

Melo/AMUNDSON/Calderon/Sasha/Seraphin all gone and perhaps Early stays.
That team can't lose much more than the team we presently have. Now you've $30-35 to spend and bring Westbrook or one of other big signs on board. Plug in Westbrook.

KP/Lopez/Westbrook/Batum (or Fournier)
1st round for Melo (top 10)
1st round 2017 <top 10>
Wroten
WILLIAMS
HERNANGOMEZ
GRANT
GALLOWAY

That team can challenge for the East as Lebrom will be 33.
