This is true. The knee is a major concern, but that's why he's on a low risk contract. If he can regain his knee strength then he could be a very good option. This kid needs to be coached up a lot and I hope he is getting the attention he needs now for his rehab. This isn't an instant upgrade. I view him as someone we can look at no different than any of our other young prospects. A little patience may be necessary.

we just need to set very low to non-existent expectations. That is what it looks like the knicks did with that contract.

yep. basically

Interesting that David Lee said the knicks talked with him about filling the 15th spot after he was bought out.

My guess is that before even making the offer to Wroten they likely had him checked out fully by medical staff. When it comes to rehabbing after an ACL there's got to be a lot of patience to allow the athlete to fully recover to peak conditioning and strength in the leg that was operated on. What i'm hoping for is that his youth helps to get back a good portion of his physical ability. No one is gonna be 100% of what they were after a couple of ACL's but there are also guys that get back a lot of what they had. Let's hope Wroten is one of those guys.

Jamal Crawford tore his acl a few times in his career as well. The dude still looks like a spring chicken. As long as the meniscus is intact you can recover with no problem.
