And we wont win next year either--but Boston could have a 2-3 year window--so if you really want to win--you like more money--you only move a 30 minute plane ride away--whats wrong?
whats wrong is that melo has very clearly stated numerous times he does not want to leave. i mean he's only the one who had to choose to waive the clause, so i'd say that's a pretty big problem.
Riiiiiiiiiight, a 30 minute plane ride to another team in the East that has to try and take down LeQ and company. Makes perfect sense. Any unicorns in Boston?
To make unicorn spread his wings Melo should move his a..sss from the center to the side.
Otherwise it does not make any sense for sure.
So you are more concerned about one player shots versus the fate of the team?..I know there are lots in here who think like you..They aren't concerned about wins or the team..Puzzling..
Without strategic vision team cannot became elite.
You can win 5-10 games more now to get to first round and get bumped or sacrifice couple more seasons and build a contender.
Melo is not a part of strategic vision... he is fixture of the past.
He is not going anywhere but his role must be redefined for the better of the team.
My idea of strategic vision isn't being a fanboy of one particular player..It's setting the franchise on a road where winning becomes a habit..We need as many good players on the roster to win as many games as we can..I'm not interested in watching a 20/25 win team develop over the next 20 years..
Knicks have a solid starting five is probably a 42/45 win team..If we had a decent bench and a coach that emphasizes defense then maybe we win 50+ and compete with Toronto..That's doable..Get into the second round and maybe ECF?..Makes the team more interesting..Maybe you just aren't interested in the team winning just an individual winning..I'm a fan of the game..Can't root for just one guy..
That was the Lakers philosophy..And they won a lot..They weren't trying to play favorites but they stack talent and won..

No but apparently it's been in vogue to consistently sheehit on one guy for the last 7 years...
the same tired sheehit over and over:
1) We gave up so much to get Melo
2) Melo is retarding the unicorn's growth, especially when KP was rewriting NBA history last year
3) Melo's game is over.
4) Melo must be redefined.
5) Melo costs too much money.
6) Melo girl-punched my man Mardy Collins.
7) We need to win without Melo
8) Melo's not tactical
9) Melo's not strategic
10) Melo doesn't stop shooting when he's cold, except when he does.
How about everybody else on the fuhucking team play consistently great every night, and stop beeyatching about the only HOF on the team with a NTC?
