Ford has said over and over that teams are hoping he is along the same lines at Porzingis, but he is pretty sure that he doesn't have the overall upside. So i guess poor man's KP is the expectation.
Looks like role player bust

YES! i kept repeating his name over and over again. lol. but no one listens to poor old ned!
i saw him play live when his team visiting MSG last summer. bender is extremely RAW but dude is tall but athletic..like kPorzingus but even more so! meaning he can run faster and more agile side to side. ive never seen a big man crouch so LOW in a defensive stance before (like shumpert). he has a lot of physical gifts, like speed, jumping, effort etc. with that said he doesnt have the jumper or offensive moves like KP does. at the very least hes a role player who can play defense and get you off rebounds. but his potential is thru the roof, im sure he will get better
Between Thon Maker and Dragan Bender, you might have two of the best names in basketball history in the same draft.
I was surprised that he played sparingly and was so mediocre with Maccabi this year.
I really believe that he should have stayed overseas for another year to build up his game. KP was in the same situation and made that decision.
Does have that good lateral movement on D from the videos provided.
From the things I've read, he is a hard worker and he sounds like a good kid in the interviews. I think he'll be better than Briggs' "role player bust," but we will see.
yeah man. i never know what the future holds. you never ever know with these guys. either boom or bust. but yes i like young tall guys who are very athletic
