my goal is to do as minimal as possible when it comes to free agency. unless star players decide to come here next yr (doubt it), then just stick to paying stop gap players like turner and jennings. overall, this team should be acquiring and auditioning for cheap young players who can play round kp. also succeed in the upcoming drafts to get more young players. save money and when the clock strikes for the 2018 free agency, then cash in on free agents (since other teams wont have as much money when the cap evens out).
of course none of this matches melo s timeline...but hes choosing to waste his prime yrs on a rebuilding team. wish we could trade him but he cant. so at least he can score 20ppg and lead us to 35 wins the next few yrs

Yeah, the cap is essentially doubling from when it was 50-60M. So guys we think of as $5-6M guys will definitely be getting 10-12M. Some teams will make crazy over pays to give a guy like Bazemore $15M per year and we'll all be outraged.
And that will be the fuel for the 2017 lockout. Which I hope doesn't last too long.
To me if we can add Curry Gasol Bazemore(I like Bazemore--I dont think it will cost huge cash but hes 27 with little long term usage and numbers that are going up= hes a good two way player) I think this is a plausible scenario. We need Jose Calderons money and we need Affalo to opt out. I still want to try to get DEnzel Valentine out of this draft--if we can trade a future--we dont need a second guard in free agency at bigger dollars

I did see him in the NCAA's. The game his team was knocked out, he was ineffective. We're looking at a critique of parts of his game, written by someone backing their findings with video evidence. The same source that I've seen you use a multitude of times. I'm looking for old tapes of my kid's Wiffle ball games. I'll let YOU be the judge. You are prolific, but a bit thin skinned.
